Resumo: Three experiments were carried out to accomplish this work. The trial I objective to evaluate the effects of the use of winter cereals silages cultivated alone or mixed with legumes on silage quality, dry matter intake, milk production and composition in dairy cows. The Experiment II objective to evaluate the potential of the triticale (X Triticosecale Wittmack) crop on grazing with dairy cows, on the production and quality of the biomass and post-grazing grain yield. The Trial III objective to evaluate the chemical composition, aerobic stability and total dry matter losses of soybean silage (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) at different reproductive stages of harvest. Trial I and II were conducted in Institut National of la Recherche Agronomique - INRA, Poitou-Charentes Research Center, in Lusignan-France. Trial III was carried out in Mandaguaçu, northwest of Paraná State, and in the Feed Analysis Laboratory and Animal Metabolism of Animal Science Department of Universidade Estadual de Maringá. In trial I twenty four Prim.Hosltein dairy cows in lactation were used, with milk average production of 24.4 kg, fed with grasses silages associated with legumes in three treatments: 1 - triticale silage (X Triticosecale Wittimack) (TS), 2 - triticale silage plus pea forage (Pisum arvensis L.) (TSfP) and 3 - triticale silage in mixture with oats (Avena sativa L.), vetch (Vicia sativa L.) and pea forage (TSOVfP). The animals were distributed in three lots of eight cows each (four primiparous and four multiparous). The experimental period lasted 63 days with three periods of 21 days each. The TSOVfP silage was superior on intake, digestibility and milk production in relationship to other silages. The fermentative characteristics of the silages were similar to the expected patterns for grasses silages in mixture with legumes. The DM average losses with the use of tracer sacks were higher in TSOVfP silage, with high losses in silo surface (26%). The triticale silage in mixture with legumes can be used on dairy cows feeding. Trial II sixteen Prim'Hosltein dairy cows were used, under triticale grazing from April 19 to May 2 of 2006. The used method was the destructive and indirect (disk meter of forage) in the evaluation of the forage mass, and there was positive correlation between the methodologies. The dry matter intake was estimate with the n-alkanes methodology. The mean intake and milk production values were of 17 kg DM/day and 24.6 liters of milk cow/day, respectively. The post-grazing grain yields accounted for 78; 51; 44 and 32% of the surface control that produced 5.11 t/ha. The triticale can be used in order to double purpose, grazing and grain harvest. The trial III was divided in two evaluation periods, 2005 and 2006 harvests. Four reproductive stages (R3, R4, R5 and R6) were determined as treatment in 2005 and three reproductive stages (R5, R6 and R7) in 2006. In 2005, there were differences (P<0.05) in the reproductive stages for dry matter amounts, ash, organic matter, crude protein, lignin, ether extract and buffering capacity. However it was not observed differences for neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, neutral detergent insoluble nitrogen, acid detergent insoluble nitrogen, cellulose, total carbohydrate and pH. In 2006, there was no effect of the ensilage reproductive stage on dry matter amounts, ash, organic matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, ether extract and total carbohydrate in function of the soybean harvest stage. The silages in R5 presented better quality, in both years 2005/2006. The soybean silage evidenced stability.

No Experimento 1, objetivou-se avaliar os efeitos da utilização de silagens de cereais de inverno em cultivo singular e em mistura com leguminosas sobre a qualidade das silagens, a ingestão de matéria seca, produção e composição do leite em vacas leiteiras. No Experimento II, objetivou-se avaliar o potencial da cultura de triticale (X Triticosecale Wittmack), em pastejo com vacas leiteiras, em relação à produção e qualidade da biomassa e a produção de grãos pós-pastejo. No Experimento III, objetivou-se avaliar a composição química, a estabilidade aeróbia, e as perdas totais de matéria seca da silagem de soja (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) colhida em diferentes estádios reprodutivos. O Experimento 1 e II foram realizados no Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique - INRA. Centro de Pesquisas de Poitou-Charentes. localizada em Lusignan-França. O Experimento III foi conduzido no Município de Mandaguaçu, no Noroeste do Estado do Paraná, e no Laboratório de Análise de Alimentos e Metabolismo Animal do Departamento de Zootecnia da Universidade Estadual de Maringá-PR. No Experimento 1, foram utilizadas 24 vacas Prim-Hosltein, em lactação, com produção média de 24,4 kg de leite, alimentadas com silagens de gramíneas em mistura a leguminosas com três tratamentos: 1 - silagem de triticale (X Triticosecale Wittimack) (ST), 2 - silagem de triticale mais ervilha forrageira (Pisum arvensis L.) (STEf) e 3 - silagem de triticale em mistura com aveia (Avena sativa L.), ervilhaca (Vicia sativa L.) e ervilha forrageira (STAEEf). Os animais foram divididos em três lotes de oito vacas (quatro primíparas e quatro multíparas). O período experimental teve a duração de 63 dias, com três períodos de 21 dias. A silagem STAEEf foi superior na ingestão, digestibilidade e produção de leite em relação às outras silagens. As características fermentativas das silagens mostraram-se dentro dos padrões esperados para silagens de gramíneas em misturas com leguminosas. As perdas médias de MS com uso de sacos traçadores foram maiores na silagem STAEEf com elevadas perdas na superfície do silo (26%). A silagem de triticale em misturas com leguminosas pode ser utilizada para a alimentação de vacas leiteiras. No Experimento II, foram utilizadas 16 vacas da raça Prim?Holstein (PO), que pastejaram triticale de 19 de abril a 02 de maio de 2006. Foi utilizado o método destrutivo e indireto (disco medidor de forragem) na avaliação da massa de forragem, observando-se correlação positiva entre as metodologias. Para estimar a ingestão de matéria seca, foi utilizada a metodologia de n-alcanos. Os valores médios da ingestão e produção de leite foram de 17kg de MS/dia e de 24,6 litros de leite vaca/dia, respectivamente. Os rendimentos em grãos pós-patejo, representaram 78; 51; 44 e 32% da área-testemunha que produziu 5,11 t/ha. O triticale pode ser utilizado no intuito de duplo propósito, pastejo e colheita de grãos. O Experimento III foi dividido em dois períodos de avaliação, safras de 2005 e 2006. Foram determinados quatro estádios reprodutivos (R3, R4, R5 e R6) como tratamento em 2005, e três estádios reprodutivos (R5, R6 e R7) em 2006. No ano de 2005, houve diferenças (P<0,05) nos estádios reprodutivos para os teores de matéria seca, cinzas, matéria orgânica, proteína bruta, lignina, extrato etéreo e capacidade tampão. Não foram observadas diferenças para os valores de fibra em detergente neutro, fibra em detergente ácido, nitrogênio insolúvel em detergente neutro, nitrogênio insolúvel em detergente ácido, celulose, carboidratos totais e pH. No ano de 2006, não houve efeito do estádio reprodutivo na ensilagem sobre o teor de matéria seca, cinzas, matéria orgânica, proteína bruta, fibra em detergente neutro, fibra em detergente ácido, extrato etéreo e carboidratos totais em função do estádio de corte da soja. As silagens produzidas, no R5, apresentaram melhor qualidade, em ambos os anos 2005/2006.
