Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: To correlate spatially tuberculosis cases and location of health facilities that develop actions to control TB in the city of Campina Grande / PB in the period 2004 -2009. METHODOLOGY: study with a design hybrid, ecological and temporal trends (longitudinal and retrospective), study setting was to the city of Campina Grande. The population consisted of cases of tuberculosis, enrolled in the Tuberculosis Control Program of the municipality under study, in the period 2004-2009. 694 households were geocoded of tuberculosis patients and 70 Family Health Units. To diagnose the areas of disease distribution and coverage of health facilities, used the program Geographic ArcGIS ®; held up distribution points, through the analysis of Kernel Estimator, buffers were cre ated proximity of tuberculosis cases to the Unit health, flow maps and geographic hypsometric and slope. RESULTS: During the study period there is a centralized monitoring of tuberculosis in the referral service, and greater social vulnerability in the neighborhoods with the highest incidence of the disease in the city, which kept the demand for secondary care even with the presence of health these territories. CONCLUSION: The GIS allowed the diagnosis of tuberculosis focus areas, areas characterized as these large agglomeration and social vulnerability. There is an urgent need for public management act in loco diagnosed in neighborhoods with higher incidences sensitizing professionals about the importance of taking care of tuberculosis. |

Made available in DSpace on 2015-09-25T12:21:36Z (GMT).
