Resumo: | This research deals with the study of social representations about the nature concept of a group of students participating in the Pedagogical Residence Program, Area of Natural Sciences. Since the representations built on the concept of nature will directly influence the activities developed by the students in said program, from an Environmental Education perspective. In this context, the question that guides this research is: What are the social representations about the concept of nature of the participants of the Program of Pedagogical Residence in the UEPB of the undergraduate courses in Chemistry, Physics and Biology? The general objective of the research was to identify the Social Representations about the concept of the nature of a group that participates in the Pedagogical Residence Program, since these can reflect in the scientific teaching, the ways to inquire, to select and elaborate the information on the subject; because it is directly related to the teacher's attitudinal knowledge. The methodological course developed in order to answer the guiding question and reach the proposed objectives, consists of a descriptive research of qualitative approach that was carried out with the residents of the Chemistry, Physics and Biology courses of Campus I of the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) . The data collection instrument is composed of a structured questionnaire with objective and subjective questions, about what the students conceive about the concepts of nature, and the Test of Association of Words, being "Nature", the word inductor. For the treatment of the data obtained from the Word Association Test we used the IRAMUTEQ software in the prototypical analysis and similarity analysis. The data obtained through the questionnaire contributed to the analysis of the evocations through the elaboration of theoretical categories of analysis. The results obtained evidenced the fragmentation of the concept of nature for the researched group, pointing to the vegetation element as a common and central point in the structure of the representations. |

Uma vez que as representações construídas sobre o conceito de natureza influenciarão diretamente as atividades desenvolvidas pelos estudantes no referido programa, em uma perspectiva de Educação Ambiental. Neste contexto, a pergunta que norteia esta pesquisa é: Quais são as representações sociais sobre o conceito de natureza dos participantes do Programa de Residência Pedagógica na UEPB dos cursos de licenciatura em Química, Física e Biologia? O objetivo geral da pesquisa foi identificar as Representações Sociais sobre o conceito de natureza de um grupo participante do Programa Residência Pedagógica, uma vez que estas podem refletir no ensino científico, nos modos de indagar, de selecionar e elaborar as informações sobre a temática; por estar diretamente relacionada ao conhecimento atitudinal do professor. O percurso metodológico desenvolvido a fim de responder a questão norteadora e atingir os objetivos propostos, consiste em uma pesquisa descritiva de abordagem qualitativa que foi realizada com os residentes dos cursos de Química, Física e Biologia do Campus I da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB). O instrumento de coleta de dados é composto por questionário estruturado com perguntas objetivas e subjetivas, versando sobre o que os estudantes concebem acerca dos conceitos de natureza, e o Teste de Associação de Palavras, sendo “Natureza”, a palavra indutora. Para o tratamento dos dados obtidos a partir do Teste de Associação de Palavras utilizamos o software IRAMUTEQ na análise prototípica e análise de similitude. Os dados obtidos através do questionário contribuíram para a análise das evocações por meio da elaboração de categorias teóricas de análise.
