Resumo: Educational actions are developed with the aim of awakening in students a critical awareness of a certain social aspect. Thus, the problematization that guides this work is based on the following questions: How to explore the potential of the Municipal Public Archive of Campina Grande-PB as an educational space? How can the educational-cultural actions developed in the collection contribute to the critical-citizen formation of elementary school II students? As it is a professional master's degree, from the investigative question, our general objective is: To present a proposal of educational actions organized in pedagogical workshops with documents from the Municipal Public Archive of Campina Grande for the formation of critical-citizen readers of the students, taking them to considering the socio-historical and cultural context of the texts and the integral formation of the students. The study was carried out in the Municipal Public Archive of Campina Grande-PB and is characterized, methodologically, by its qualitative and interpretative nature, a documentary research. Regarding the procedure and data collection, interviews were carried out (semi-structured and via Google Forms) with local employees and education professionals. The studies by Bakhtin (2010), Paes (2004), Almeida (2016), and Bellotto (2002; 2005) served as a theoretical basis for investigation. When exploring the object of study, the following results were obtained from the interviews carried out with education professionals: a) The archive, as it is a pedagogical space, needs to be disclosed; b) For the development of educational-cultural actions, the interaction between archive and school is necessary; c) In the methodological development of their teaching practice, teachers demonstrated that they did not know the archive as an educational space. Regarding the employees of the collection, it was possible to verify a gap in terms of preparation and sociocultural training to serve the public. The educational product was based on the perspective of disseminating the documentary collection, seeking to develop in the student the incentive and ability to read through verbal and non-verbal texts from the activities carried out in the pedagogical workshops. It is concluded that the educational product developed as a didactic and pedagogical proposal has the purpose of improving teaching practice, as it is a means of interaction between archive, teacher and school, which in turn addresses issues involving cultural, economic and social aspects, taking into account the social and cultural background of the subjects involved.

Assim, a problematização que norteia esse trabalho está pautada nos seguintes questionamentos: Como explorar a potencialidade do arquivo Público Municipal de Campina Grande- PB como espaço educacional? Como as ações educativo-culturais desenvolvidas no acervo poderão contribuir para formação crítico-cidadã dos alunos do ensino fundamental II? Como se trata de um mestrado profissional, a partir da pergunta investigativa, temos como objetivo geral: Apresentar uma proposta de ações educativas organizadas em oficinas pedagógicas com documentos do Arquivo Público Municipal de Campina Grande para formação de leitor crítico-cidadã dos discentes, levando-se em consideração o contexto sócio-histórico e cultural dos textos e a formação integral dos alunos. O estudo foi realizado no arquivo público Municipal de Campina Grande-PB e se caracteriza, metodologicamente, pela natureza qualitativa interpretativa, uma pesquisa documental. No que diz respeito ao procedimento e à coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas (semiestruturadas e via Google Forms) com os funcionários do local e profissionais da educação. Os estudos de Bakhtin (2010), Paes (2004), Almeida (2016), e Bellotto (2002; 2005) serviram de base teórica para investigação. Ao explorar o objeto de estudo, obteve-se como resultados alcançados a partir das entrevistas realizadas com os profissionais da educação: a) O arquivo por ser um espaço pedagógico precisa ser divulgado; b) Para o desenvolvimento das ações educativo-culturais é necessário a interação entre arquivo e escola; c) Os professores no desenvolvimento metodológico de sua prática docente demonstraram não conhecer o arquivo como espaço educacional. Com relação aos funcionários do acervo foi possível constatar uma lacuna quanto a preparação e formação sociocultural para atendimento ao público. O produto educacional foi baseado na perspectiva de divulgação do acervo documental, buscando desenvolver no aluno o incentivo e habilidade de leitura através dos textos verbais e não-verbais a partir das atividades realizadas nas oficinas pedagógicas.
