Resumo: The introduction of local cultural aspects and the understanding of society in which citizens are inserted are considered as a means to promote a more meaningful learning, and is therefore one of the purposes of official Brazilian documents, as well as of various researches In the Teaching of Chemistry, which makes possible an interrelationship between students' daily experiences and the teaching-learning process in science classes. The study of the historical context can be a way forward for a better learning, regarding the Teaching of Chemistry, taking into account the aspects and the scientific, technological, social and environmental applications present in the experiences of the citizens that integrate it, contributing thus, for the critical and reflective formation of the students in the search for the exercise of citizenship. In this way, these characteristics can be integrated into a Sequence of Investigative Teaching (SIT), whose objective is to provide students with the conditions to perceive the socio-cultural knowledge that is intrinsically linked to their experiences, thus offering proposals for activities that bring The students' previous knowledge of the classroom, and thus, to initiate new knowledge, from their ideas and discuss them in an integrative way, with other students and with the teacher, going from spontaneous to scientific knowledge, thus creating , An investigative environment, in the classes of Sciences / Chemistry, from problematic situations, that can gradually, extend their scientific culture. In view of this, we offer as educational product the SIT, elaborated in 04 didactic moments, that can provide the science teacher of the 9th grade of Elementary Education, more precisely of the City of Alagoa Nova-PB, a resource contemplated scientific and historical scientific concepts, employing the theme of sugarcane liquor chemistry, from its historical process, in consonance with the distillation apparatus used in its manufacture, taking into account the local historical context, in the search for a more meaningful teaching in a contextualized way, linking with the processes of separation of mixtures, from the extraction of the broth to the final production process (sugarcane liquor), resulting from the production through the engine.

O estudo do contexto histórico pode ser um caminho a percorrer para uma melhor aprendizagem, no que concerne ao Ensino de Química, levando em consideração os aspectos e as aplicações científicas, tecnológicas, sociais e ambientais, presentes nas experiências dos cidadãos que a integram, contribuindo assim, para a formação crítica e reflexiva dos estudantes na busca para o exercício da cidadania. Deste modo, essas características podem ser integradas em uma Sequência de Ensino Investigativo (SEI), cujo objetivo é proporcionar aos estudantes condições para que percebam os conhecimentos socioculturais que estão intrinsecamente, ligados as suas vivências, oportunizando deste modo, propostas de atividades, que tragam os conhecimentos prévios dos estudantes para a sala de aula, e assim, iniciar novos conhecimentos, a partir de suas ideias e discuti-las de forma integrativa, com outros estudantes e com o professor, saindo do conhecimento espontâneo para científico, criando deste modo, um ambiente investigativo, nas aulas de Ciências/Química, a partir de situações problemas, que possam de forma gradual, irem ampliando sua cultura científica.
