Resumo: This paper proposes an approach about Margem das lembranças, by the writer Hermilo Borba Filho, from Pernambuco, considering the theories of self-writing, memory, and testimony. The main goal is to observe how those elements are present in this novel and hence what are the deployments of a writing in which a subject, naturally limited before his memory failures, creates a self-image at the same time he transmutes his experiences into narrative. Thus the discussion begins trying to understand the senses of autonarration in order to approach memory and reflect on its relations with forgetfulness, language, history, and creating. The concept of testimonial literature is seen as a venue between experience and remembrance the subject who narrates himself bears witness personal and collective experiences at the same time he resorts to memories in order to restore the past. This work is divided into three parts which reflect on several aspects that include a self-writing and find support in a theoretical research, based on literary-critical and socio-historical-philosophical studies.

O objetivo principal é observar em que medida esses elementos estão presentes na obra em questão e, consequentemente, quais os desdobramentos de uma escrita em que um sujeito, naturalmente limitado diante das falhas da sua memória, dispõe-se a criar uma imagem de si ao mesmo tempo em que transforma suas experiências em narrativa escrita. Assim, lançaremos mão de uma discussão que se inicia por caminhos que tentam compreender os sentidos da autonarração para, em seguida, entrar no campo da memória e pensar suas relações com o esquecimento, com a linguagem, com a história e mesmo com a invenção. O conceito de literatura de testemunho é arrolado como ponto de encontro entre a experiência e a rememoração o sujeito que se narra testemunha experiências pessoais e coletivas ao mesmo tempo em que se mune de memórias na tarefa de reconstituição do passado. O trabalho será dividido em três momentos que partem da obra analisada para uma reflexão acerca dos diversos aspectos que envolvem uma escrita de si e encontrará respaldo numa pesquisa de base teórica, pautada em estudos crítico-literários, e sócio- histórico-filosóficos.Made available in DSpace on 2015-09-25T12:21:07Z (GMT).
