The separation between Science and Society is as old as the birth of the former. In recent decades, many efforts have been made at international and national levels to bring them together, in view of the various problems arising from this, such as the increasingly growing denialism, driven by this separation. Several scientific policies have been promoting the reduction of this distance, including in the area of Ecology, as is the case of the Long-Term Ecological Program (PELD), which has stimulated the presence of specialized professionals and the execution of communication actions aimed at better dissemination. knowledge produced by such programs. This research project is part of a broader project (PELDCOM), whose objective is to improve the communication process of ecological PELDs. As a field of study, Public Communication of Science aims to critically reflect and propose forms of dialogue between Science and Society. The most recent theoretical reflections point to different ways of executing the communication of science, among them: (1) the Communication of Deficit, which privileges scientific knowledge, in which the other is a passive subject who must receive the knowledge of those who know without to participate; (2) Dialogical Communication, which recognizes the importance of constructions of dialogues for a reception and interaction of the forms of knowledge of Science. Faced with such questions, this research is interested in evaluating what type of communication was being carried out within PELD's sites before the PELDCOM experience, since there are already other analyzes that point out that the promotion notices in the area of biodiversity, by themselves , may be being developed to encourage deficit communication. For this, it is proposed from a cut of the sites, by Brazilian biomes, using the variables of Leweistein and Brossard (2015), to offer an analysis of the communication carried out by the sites.
