Resumo: t is no exaggeration to point out that there is a global movement that makes societies technodependents. In this sense, free software has been a way for generating technological knowledge and therefore attracts great interest from governments and the business sector. This paper seeks to analyze the free software reception in the Ponta Grossa business community, since this technology model it is encouraged through government policies.Firstly, a research was conducted to perform a quantitative analysis of the organizations established in Ponta Grossa regarding the use of information technology as a tool for business management. Later we analyze qualitatively three companies that joined the use of free software and what were the results. This research sent us to analyze relevant points that take some companies to use some technology standards computer in its structure.

Neste sentido o software livre tem sido uma forma de geração de conhecimento tecnológico e, portanto, desperta grande interesse por parte dos governos e do setor empresarial. Esta dissertação procura analisar a recepção que o software livre teve no empresariado pontagrossense, uma vez que este modelo tecnológico é incentivado por políticas públicas governamentais. Primeiramente a pesquisa foi conduzida a analisar de forma quantitativa o que as organizações estabelecidas na cidade de Ponta Grossa utilizam no que diz respeito à tecnologia de informação como instrumento de gestão de negócios. Posteriormente analisamos de forma qualitativa três empresas que aderiram ao uso de software livre e quais os resultados obtidos. A pesquisa nos remeteu a uma análise sobre os pontos relevantes que levam as organizações a utilizarem alguns padrões de tecnologia em sua estrutura informática.Made available in DSpace on 2017-07-21T14:43:03Z (GMT).
