Mídia e relações internacionais: criação e existência da TeleSUR na Era Chávez (1999-2013)

Resumo: | This work has as starting point, a verification of the relevance of the role played by the media in international relations. In this sense, studying the creation and existence of TeleSUR, aims to analyze an initiative for a foreign policy of Venezuela, during a Chávez era, to represent an importance and an influence that the media exercise on societies. Two hypotheses are outlined in the research proposed here: The first concerns the objectives and the reasons for the creation and maintenance of TeleSUR since, in our view, it was created as a strategic media element to meet the foreign policy of the governments of Hugo Chávez. The second hypothesis is that Chávez's adoption of Chávez's public and media diplomacy (Gilboa) is structured in two ways: on the one hand, a counter-attack on the privatization of petroleum resources and on the other part on the promotion of investments from PDVSA, In a cultural culture aimed at the rescue, promotion and appreciation of Venezuelan popular culture as a form of inclusion and social development. |

Neste sentido, estudar a criação e a existência da TeleSUR, tem como objetivo analisar a importância dessa iniciativa para a política externa da Venezuela, durante a Era Chávez, representa a importância e a influência que os meios de comunicação exercem sobre as sociedades. Duas hipóteses são delineadas na pesquisa aqui proposta: A primeira diz respeito aos objetivos e razões para a criação e existência da TeleSUR uma vez que, segundo nossa visão ela foi criada como um elemento estratégico midiático para atender à política externa dos governos de Hugo Chávez.
