This research aims to analyze the speech of soccer players in activity, who emerged through the social practice of this sport, in order to try identify if there is a relationship between their attitudes, their difficulties in adapting to the outside and the fact that they are from families with low finance. The study initiated by an observation of media reports that constantly showed players socially recognized, not only by fame and success in football, but also by some of his behavior out of field. Contributions of Edgar Morin were chosen as theoretical substantiation; he introduced the concept of mass culture, which is found the called modern heroes . The author states that the succesful soccer players appear in that category and discusses the promotion of these new stars from the constant media information about their routines. Concerning the theories related to sport, specifically in soccer, the study was based from the Mário Rodrigues Filho thoughts, which shows the rise of black and poor player in Brazilian football, a sport originally white and elitist. Therefore, the sport is studied from both social and cultural perspectives, with worldwide importance, meanly in Brazil, and especially through soccer. The methodology adopted was the documentary analysis content technique; reports interpretation in Placar magazine, primary source, was chosen for this paper. As focus, were chosen editions released between January 2009 and December 2011, setting a total of thirty editions in three years. From survey of cited magazines were selected at the end of all analysis nineteen interviews of professional soccer players, divided into the following categories: (i) social ascension, (ii) financial issue, (iii) misbehaving inside and outside of field, (iv) good behavior inside and outside of field, (v) returns to Brasilian soccer, (vi) the feeling of miss Brazil, (vii) dream to be realized. Data analysis was performed in the light of the theoretical substantiation showed in this paper, relating the players speech with the authors thoughts. It is observed through the analysis that there is no relationship between the behavior of soccer players interviewed by the magazine above mentioned and the fact that they coming from humble families and their difficulties in adapting in the exterior are related to the lack of a complete fitness.
