The research of the Network of Dance [Rede da Dança] is a proposal to approach the contemporary dance as a phenomenon that happens through a network, from the perspective of Bruno Latour to network . Initially the proposal was concerned on thinking the dance expression that happens in the Internet as a consequence of the impact of the online technology on the production and creation of dance. But it was expanded and rescaled into a network of relationships that is present in various processes in which the contemporary dance is shaped today, which is not only the artistic doing and it s more potent at the in between territory. The research aims, however, to investigate the relationships that connect the network of dance, more then make an analysis of the dance as a gender of art. Therefore we use images of the network, which are, actually, enters to the research through the examples of practices, initiatives and productions in which the relationships are visible, and in which the processes are prioritized rather then the results. From this perspective, the collaboration took relevance during the narratives of the images as a force that moves the relationships that happen in the network of the dance nowadays. Lastly, our research is presented as a cartographic exercise, an ethnographic description, that implicates in let the object speak , besides using the narrative in first person, the field journal, a research that is built together with the object, not about it.
