The aim of this work is to find one positive status of the body in psychoanalysis, aiming to enhance the clinical listening, from the concepts postulated by Freud and Lacan. We start from the concept of drive, approached early by Freud as "between the soul and the physical" - in conjunction with the three registers postulated by Lacan - real, symbolic and imaginary. Differences in clinical weave structures (neurosis and psychosis) and serve in the literature cases throughout the study. We commented above, initially, on the image of the body, seized in an intertwining of the three records, considering the first Lacan's texts. We review the cases of hysteria Freud, who could to demonstrate and prove that the anatomical and physiological body does not match the body of psychoanalysis. So we approach the Lacanian conception according to which the body is founded by the desire of the Other. Treat, then, the body image of the constitution in its relation to the real, presented from the design of the object. To illustrate this argument, we make use of a short story by Guy de Maupassant. We discuss the fundamental distinction between body and organism, and seek links between the three records (symbolic, real and imaginary) that guide the Lacanian theory and the "I body" that is Freud the text "Self and that." Finally, we present two cases for better articulation between theory and clinical. In the first case, it is a case diagnosed as neurosis, in which the body is revealed daily depositary pain and suffering by the patient's complaints; the second is a reinterpretation of the case of an autistic child attended by Bruno Bettelheim, a body that can teach us about the psychotic relationship with the Other. Our conclusion points out the importance of the analyst to remain sensitive in the body, which appears through the significant, and only builds on the unique history of each subject. Differentiation of clinical structures is important because each structure will determine a construction mode and the subject's relationship with his own body
