Some authors from Brazil and abroad have already traced the paths connecting Design and Education, just as some schools have already adopted design, either as a methodology – so that teachers can prepare their classes – or as a curricular component – in the form of a project which students are involved. However, this dissertation doesn’t speak about the specialist/professional designer at school, but of the teacher-designer of teaching-learning practices, that is, design as a process of thought and developing activities and managing spaces. Based on a bibliographical research and an interview with 6 public school basic education teachers, design was conceptualized as a thought process, and it was investigated whether in fact this process is inherent to every human being – or in this case to all teachers.
