Resumo: | This paper is concernedwith the research of the psychic reality notionand its clinical specifications in neurosis and psychosis through Freud, Lacan, and their commenters work. The initial thoughtsbeganwith the Mariana s consultation, who did not have a defined differential diagnosis regarding her psychic structure. It brought about an initial question: is it neurosis or psychosis?The paper flows through the assessment of differences between these two structures focusing mainly on the research involving the relationship of the reality concept in neurosis and psychosis.To explore that point, two key Freud paperworks were extensively applied Aperda da realidadenaneurose e napsicose (1924) e A denegação (1925), contrasting them from the line of thought between structural continuity or discontinuity. In the Lacan s note in De umaquestãopreliminar a todotratamentopossível da psicose (LACAN, 1957-58) which presents the notion of a object extraction as a condition for the psychic reality framing was underscored.The assessment of the Freud and Lacan s texts enables the conclusion that the structures were not defined by the phenomena, but by the subject s reaction facing the absolute Other or as enigma. The study of the two authors leads us to consider a significant relationship about the theme regarding the beginning of Freud s work and the end of Lacan s work, because the phenomena considered psychotics for the Lacan sstruturalystic clinic were already defined as possible neurotic phenomena in the Freudian s work |

A ideia inicial se deu a partir do atendimento de Mariana, caso em que não havia um diagnóstico diferencial definido acerca da sua estrutura psíquica, o que nos introduziu uma questão: trata-se de uma neurose ou de uma psicose? O trabalho segue através do exame das diferenças entre estas duas estruturas adotando especialmente a investigação acerca da relação do conceito de realidade na neurose e na psicose. Para pensar sobre esta questão recorremos a dois principais artigos de Freud A perda da realidade na neurose e na psicose (1924) e A denegação (1925), contrastando os dois a partir da linha de pensamento entre uma continuidade ou uma descontinuidade estrutural. Em Lacan a nota de seu texto De uma questão preliminar a todo tratamento possível da psicose (LACAN, 1957-58), que aborda a noção de extração do objeto a como condição ao enquadramento da realidade psíquica, foi privilegiada. A investigação nos textos de Freud e Lacan possibilita a conclusão de que os fenômenos não definem as estruturas e sim a resposta do sujeito frente ao Outro absoluto ou enquanto enigma.
