This thesis is based on a biographical research focused on the trajectory of Juscelina Gomes de Lima. She is the youngest daughter of small farmers in therural area of Paraíba, that performs a radical geographical socio space crossing, becoming a prominent executive, and she returns to Paraíba in 2012, after 35 years living in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Through the use of different methods and techniques of research - ethnography, interviews and documentary research the work seeks to understand the socio biography from two core issues. The first one can be summarized in this way: Considering the constraints and possibilities offered by the original position in the social space, how the biographee followed towards a life permeated by challenges related both to constant learning in a plurality of socializing contexts as those caused ethical tensions by reframing their world views? The second: How theresearched, at different stages of life, dealt with the geographical distance, social and cultural life of your household? In other words, we seek to understand the different configurations of relations between Juscelina and her family over the life cycle analyzed, which begins with the union of her parents and ends with her return to Paraíba. It starts with the idea that investigated lives tensions linked to their status as "transfuge", a concept based on the idea that the removal experience (more or less radical) in the world of origin generates significant emotional impacts, many of them linked to blame for overcoming the parents and the pain of estrangement sense both original context as those frequented after leaving the house (and class)of her father. Supporting the idea of a "sociology on an individual scale" considered in its vertical dimensions (deepening of the provisions, feelings and worldviews of one person) and horizontal (over a long life cycle), seek to understand how Juscelina with all the singularities that her life had, lived the condition of transfuge.
