In this thesis were analyzed the implementation process of the continued teacher training (CTT) of sexuality teachers on the Magisterium Professional Development Division (MPDD) of the Education Municipal Secretary (EMS) of Manaus since its creation moment until the first semester of 2018. With the intention of identifying the concepts of sexuality and gender that permeate the trainings and the developed works by teachers in schools; the repercussions of the lively discussions around educational policies regarding sexuality on the local legislative plan, so much on the training teachers´ practice at the MPDD as on the teachers´ and verify how both professional groups deal with the tension between different sexuality regimen that surrounds the development of their works. The theoretical referential involved studies regarding sexuality and gender, especially on its articulation with education and the sexual policy field. The qualitative study had ethnographic emphasis and the empirical research involved documental analysis on local public policies and the didactic material created for the work on sexuality on the CTT and schools; Active observation in groups of CTT in sexuality and others dedicated to the matter at MPDD; Semi structured one-on-one interviews with teachers that exercised/exercise the teacher training role and teachers that developed projects in schools. We intend to contribute with thoughts and debates around the sexuality and gender public policies in Brazil´s education from the study of a local process that reflects a national and international conjunction punctuated by the progress of conservatory forces on the sexual policy field. By adopting a design of sexual education with emphasis on human rights, the CTT and MPDD see education as a way of promoting respect to sexual diversity and sexual education as a right. The study identified that the actions at MPDD and schools are permeated by several concepts of sexuality and gender and by rationalities and moralities coming from different sexual regimens that co-exist or mismatch, promote alliances or conflicts, depending on the interests at stake in each moment. To handle the emerged tensions and to be convincing about the relevance of the developed actions, it was frequent among educators the use of normative and the emphasis on preventing bullying and the juvenile sexual violence. On the education policies plan it was noticed the tendency of not considering what children and teenagers think about the education regarding sexuality, something that can expose the tutelary place that still occupies in this moment within this context. The investigated thematic is current and the confrontations remain because they address an open history that goes on beyond the undertaken research.
