This dissertation deals with the realization of the project Vaga-se, a set of artistic actions that consist in a hiring process, conducted by the artist, of unemployed individuals to non-work vacancies. Each hired person can not-work as he or she desires, for the duration that he or she may consider it faire in comparison to the offered value, being accompanied by the hirer, who then has, in a reversal of roles, to perform what the hired person desires. As consequences of this proposition, textual and spoken "registers" have been developed, including this dissertation, a "performance-no-performance", "non-work time cards", among others, which are based on the experiences carried out, but are also open to fictionalization and fable. The theoretical research, articulated with practice, proposes a critical analysis of the involvement of individuals with work in the contemporary world, as well as of the social and subjectivation policies engendered by neoliberalism that influence such involvements, and the artists’ relations with labor world in this conjuncture. It also deals with ways of perceiving time nowadays, reflecting on the ways of living and perceiving non-work and on the creation of the work of art articulated to a notion of work that gives way to desire and has symbolic value, allowing the reinvention of subjective positions, which include the relationship with the other. Finally, it seeks to develop the idea of a "self-writing" that occurs through artistic creation, dealing with the idea of "registration" of ephemeral actions and the implications of using text and word as conceptual and performative elements of artistic works
