Resumo: The present work has as main object the different forms of approach and operationalization of historical time in didactic books of history of the final years of elementary school. For the analysis of such an object, I will resort to a theoretical framework that problematizes the didactic book as a complex cultural object (BITTENCOURT, 2004, p299) and as privileged supports that condense the historical narrative whose main raw material is time. In this way, we use a chapter from the 6th grade book and a chapter from the 9th book of the sixteen collections approved by the 2011 National Textbook Program, the program announcement and the 2011 textbook guide. For analytical construction Of this theme, we mobilize as theoretical and methodological reference, mainly, the theoretical framework of Reinhart Koselleck who values the discussion of historical time. Thus, this dissertation aims to analyze the treatment of the notion of historical time in school didactic narratives through the study of History textbooks, considering the specificity of scholarly historical knowledge in relation to academic history.

Para a análise de tal objeto, recorrerei a um referencial teórico que problematize o livro didático como um objeto cultural complexo (BITTENCOURT,2004, p. 299) e como suportes privilegiados que condensam a narrativa histórica que tem como principal matéria-prima o tempo. Desta forma, utilizamos um capítulo do livro do 6º ano e um capítulo do livro do 9º das dezesseis coleções aprovadas pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático do ano de 2011, o edital do programa e o guia dos livros didáticos de 2011. Para a construção analítica de tal tema, mobilizamos como referencial teórico e metodológico, principalmente, o arcabouço teórico de Reinhart Koselleck que preza pela discussão do tempo histórico.
