Resumo: | In this work we study the slow relaxation of crumpled surfaces through a simple spin model. Crumpled surfaces are fractal objects with an approximate spherical shape obtained from compaction of a single foil of aluminum or paper. In our model, the crumpled surface is represented by cluster of Ising spins pointing up. The spins pointing down represent the air around and inside the crumpled surface. We study the time evolution of such a fractal structure and we show that both energy and stress relaxation present an anomalous stretched exponential decay. Our results are in agreement with experimental studies. |
