Resumo: The theme of this thesis is the relation between the women's movement and feminism. The constitution of the women's movement took place during a long historical process, and it developed in different ways. Although many authors consider it homogeneous, it is, in fact, heterogeneous and has ramifications, such as feminism. The women's movement and feminism are considered the same thing, but they are different, and this is because feminism gained strength and became hegemonic in the women's movement. In this sense, our research problem is: what were the determinations of feminist hegemony within the women's movement? Our objective was to highlight such determinations, and then demonstrate the difference between women’s movement and feminism, thus contributing to undo the confusion that places all women's struggles as feminist struggles. We start from the marxist theory of social movements, theory of accumulation regimes, theory of episteme and hegemonic renewals, which allowed us to analyze the women's movement, as well as analyze its ramification, feminism, presenting the history of the latter within the history of society, showing which are the hegemonic feminist conceptions in each accumulation regime, and their link with the hegemonic paradigm. In order to do so, we used bibliographic research, limiting ourselves to approaching only the main authors (considered representatives of each period), as well as dialectical analysis, based on a critical and totalizing perspective. Feminism is the product of intellectualized women who quickly gained strength, becoming hegemonic and presenting their ideological version of history as the true story of women's struggle in general, impacting the women's movement, influencing the goals, forms of mobilization, demands of the women's social group. However, it is not an autonomous and independent ideology, its historical process of constitution and consolidation is indissolubly linked to the history of capitalism and its social, political and cultural mutations, thus contributing to cushioning class conflicts, limiting as well as correlating women's struggle with the political, economic and cultural tasks of the bourgeoisie, thus distancing women from Marxism and, consequently, from a deeper understanding of society and reality, diverting women from the real struggle for women's liberation.

Submitted by Leandro Machado (leandromachado@ufg.br) on 2022-05-10T16:56:18Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Jaciara Reis Veiga - 2022.pdf: 1306452 bytes, checksum: 386cdaa78d68d18d2713f5d2b60668c9 (MD5) license_rdf: 805 bytes, checksum: 4460e5956bc1d1639be9ae6146a50347 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Luciana Ferreira (lucgeral@gmail.com) on 2022-05-11T11:56:17Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Jaciara Reis Veiga - 2022.pdf: 1306452 bytes, checksum: 386cdaa78d68d18d2713f5d2b60668c9 (MD5) license_rdf: 805 bytes, checksum: 4460e5956bc1d1639be9ae6146a50347 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-05-11T11:56:17Z (GMT).
