The research objective is to identify the productions of social technologies in Postgraduate Programs at the Federal University of Maranhão and propose the elaboration of instruments that disseminate it to academic and local community. The study justification is the need for visibility and incentive for the production of Social Technologies (STs), and dissemination of innovative solutions developed in different areas of teaching, research, and extension at the Federal University of Maranhão. It is also considered that the STs are tools that lead to the empowerment of the institution itself, since they will meet the demands of society with regard to the reduction of social inequalities. The methodological procedures took place in some phases, intending to reach the objectives: data collection through bibliographic survey for understanding of TS; exploratory research with the aim of identifying productions in Social Technologies in master's courses on the websites of the Postgraduate Programs and on the portal of the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations of UFMA, selecting works that presented characteristics of the ST, using parameters proposed by the Institute of Social Technology (ITS) and Bank of Brazil Foundation (BBF), law projects numbers 111/2011, and 3329/15, that create the National Social Technology Policy (NSTP); surveys that were applied to academics who were developing undergraduate course completion papers, with TS characteristics, and to postgraduate course coordinators (master’s degree) in order to analyze the feasibility of TS production. Finally, the research data were organized in the form of a Conclusive Technical Report (CTR) and made available to UFMA. As result of the mapping of stricto sensu graduate studies at the Federal University of Maranhão are presented the analysis of 1,937 works, totaling 24 works with characteristics and parameters of ST. Subsequently, an analysis of the works was carried out to verify whether they followed the proposed standards for a TS. The study aims to use the knowledge produced at the university to fight against socioeconomic problems, the main reason for aligning themselves with the TS, and which reinforces the role of public institutions such as the Federal University of Maranhão. With this study, it is concluded that social technologies are important tools for social inclusion, in addition to helping in academic training through research and extension.
