Resumo: | Aimed to evaluate the effect of inclusion of the residue from the processing of beans to replace cottonseed meal in diets for feedlot sheep. The experiment was conducted at the Federal University of Mato Grosso -campus Rondonópolis-MT. 16 sheep mongrel males with a mean age of 12 years and a mean weight of 30 kg, distributed in a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replicates were used in the experimental test. The diets were formulated to contain 45% forage and 55% concentrate on dry matter. The treatments consisted of the replacement of cottonseed meal per bean residue at levels of 0, 33, 66 and 100% in the concentrate. Diets were formulated to be isonitrogenous crude protein content of 14%. The experiment lasted twenty days and fifteen days for adaptation to the diets and environment and remaining five days to monitor the consumption and collections. We evaluated the consumption and digestibility of DM, OM and dietary nutrients, the kinetics of in vitro ruminal fermentation of food (elephant grass silage, soybean, bean residue, cottonseed meal, corn), the grazing behavior receiving the experimental diets. We also evaluated the use of internal indicators (MSi, NDFi, ADFi) and external (Cr2O3). Data were subjected to regression analysis, the choice of parameters based on the significance of the regression models and coefficients of determination. Inclusion levels of common bean residue to replace cottonseed meal altered the intake of DM, OM, CP, NDF and TDN significant quadratic response (P<0.05) intakes of 1221.94; 1142.97; 178,35; 471.17 and 888.29 g / day, respectively. EE intake in g / day, showed a linear decrease (P<0.05) increased as the levels of residue substitution of beans, whi le the CNF intake in g / day, increased linearly (P<0.05). The apparent digestibility of DM, OM, CP and CNF increased linearly (P<0.05) the digestibility of EE had no significant effect (P>0.05), while the digestibility of NDF showed quadratic effect (P<0.05) increased as the inclusion levels of common bean residue replacing the cotton cake, with 65.03% digestibility. The cumulative gas production ranged from 47.47 to 150.61 mL for cottonseed meal and corn meal. For the fraction of rapidly digested carbohydrates (CNF) were estimated ruminal volumes of gases ranging from 20.79 to 77.69 mL, respectively for cotton cake and bean residue. Digestion rates for the fraction of fast-digesting (CNF) ranging from 0.0307 to 0.1879 h-1 for napier grass silage and ground corn, respectively were estimated. For the fraction of slow digestion (B2), gas productions ranging from 26.25 to 81.10 mL, for cottonseed meal and ground corn, respectively were estimated. For the fraction of slow digestion (B2) digestion rates varying from 0.0182 to 0.0321 h-1 for the residue of crushed beans and corn were estimated. As the variables of ingestive behavior, the total time of supply (hours / day), leisure time (hours / day), efficiency of DM and NDF intake and rumination efficiency of MS showed a quadratic response (P<0.05), with 5.71 hours; 9.21 hours; MS 237.98 g / hour; 85.04 g NDF / hour and 145.54 g DM / hour. The total rumination time (hours / day) had no significant effect (P>0.05) as increased levels of substitution of cottonseed meal per residue beans with an average of 8.43 hours. The number of ruminated daily chewing time and number merícica diary ruminating chewing showed a quadratic effect (P<0.05) with 793.71 cakes / day; 14.73 hours; 50796.44 chews / day. Chewing time per bolus, the number of periods of eating, ruminating and idling showed no significant effect (P>0.05) with a mean of 41.12 second / cake; 33.56; 50.62 and 59.96 times / day. Regarding the use of indicators, there was no significant interaction (P>0.05) between diets and the use of indicators. The estimated fecal excretion (g / day) of the experimental diets used, regardless of the indicator showed no statistical difference (P>0.05) with an average of 371 g / day. The apparent digestibility quadractricaly signi ficant effect (P<0.05) between diets with maximum digestibility of 71.02%, regardless of the indicator used. To estimate fecal output (g / day) and apparent DM digestbilidade no statistical difference (P>0.05) when using internal indicators (MSi, NDFi, ADFi) and external (Cr2O3) averaging 371 g / day and 67.20%, respectively, regardless of the diet. The residue of beans can replace cottonseed meal by up to 60% in the concentrate. Indicators, internal and external, are efficient in estimating the faecal excretion and apparent digestibility. |

O experimento foi desenvolvido na Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, campus Rondonópolis-MT. Foram utilizados no ensaio experimental 16 ovinos sem raça definida, machos inteiros, com idade média de 12 meses e peso médio de 30 Kg, distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e quatro repetições. As dietas foram formuladas de forma a conter 45% de volumoso e 55% de concentrado, na matéria seca. Os tratamentos foram constituídos pela substituição da torta de algodão por resíduo de feijão em níveis de 0, 33, 66 e 100%, no concentrado. As dietas foram formuladas de forma a serem isoprotéicas, com teor de proteína bruta de 14%. O experimento teve duração de vinte dias, sendo quinze dias para adaptação dos animais as dietas e ao ambiente e cinco dias restantes para monitoramento do consumo e coletas. Avaliou-se o consumo e digestibilidade aparente da MS, MO e nutrientes dietéticos, a cinética de fermentação ruminal in vitro dos alimentos (silagem capim elefante, farelo de soja, resíduo de feijão, torta de algodão, milho) , o comportamento ingestivo dos animais recebendo as dietas experimentais. Foram também avaliados o uso de indicadores internos (MSi, FDNi, FDAi) e externo (Cr2O3). Os dados foram submetidos à análise de regressão, sendo a escolha dos modelos baseada na significância dos parâmetros de regressão e nos valores dos coeficientes de determinação. Os níveis de inclusão do resíduo de feijão em substituição à torta de algodão alteraram os consumos de MS, MO, PB, FDNcp e NDT apresentando comportamento quadrático (P<0,05) com consumos de 1221,94; 1142,97; 178,35; 471,17 e 888,29 g/dia, respectivamente. O consumo de EE, expresso em g/dia, apresentou redução linear (P<0,05) conforme aumentou os níveis de substituição por resíduo de feijão, enquanto, o consumo de CNF, expresso em g/dia, aumentou linearmente (P<0,05). Os coeficientes de digestibilidade aparente da MS, MO, PB e CNF aumentaram linearmente (P<0,05), o coeficiente de digestibilidade do EE não apresentou efeito significativo (P>0,05), enquanto, o coeficiente de digestibilidade da FDNcp apresentou efeito quadrático (P<0,05) conforme aumentou os níveis de inclusão do resíduo de feijão em substituição à torta de algodão, com 65,03% de digestibilidade. A produção cumulativa de gases variou de 47,47 a 150,61 mL para torta de algodão e milho moído. Para a fração de rápida digestão (CNF) ruminal foram estimados volumes de gases produzidos variando de 20,79 a 77,69 mL, respectivamente para a torta de algodão e resíduo de feijão. Foram estimadas taxas de digestão para a fração de rápida digestão (CNF) variando de 0,0307 a 0,1879h-1, para a silagem de capim napier e milho moído, respectivamente. Para a fração de lenta digestão (B2), foram estimadas produções de gases variando de 26,25 a 81,10 mL, para a torta de algodão e milho moído, respectivamente. Para a fração de lenta digestão (B2) foram estimadas taxas de digestão variando de 0,0182 a 0,0321h- 1 para o resíduo de feijão e milho moído. Quanto as variáveis do comportamento ingestivo, o tempo total de alimentação (horas/dia), ócio (horas/dia), eficiência de ingestão de MS e FDNcp e a eficiência de ruminação de MS apresentaram comportamento quadrático (P<0,05), com 5,71 horas; 9,21 horas; 237,98 g MS/hora; 85,04 g FDNcp/hora e 145,54 g MS/hora. O tempo total de ruminação (horas/dia) não apresentou efeito significativo (P>0,05) conforme aumentou os níveis de substituição da torta de algodão por resíduo de feijão com uma média de 8,43 horas. O número de bolos ruminados por dia, tempo de mastigação merícica diário e número de mastigações merícicas apresentaram efeito quadrático (P<0,05) com 793,71 bolos/dia; 14,73 horas; 50.796,44 mastigações/dia. O tempo de mastigação por bolo, o número de período de ingestão, ruminação e ócio não apresentaram efeito significativo (P>0,05) com média de 41,12 segundos/bolo; 33,56; 50,62 e 59,96 períodos/dia. Quanto ao uso de indicadores, não houve interação significativa (P>0,05) entre as dietas e o uso dos indicadores. A estimativa da excreção fecal (g/dia) entre as dietas experimentais utilizadas, independente do indicador não apresentou diferença estatística (P>0,05) com uma média de 371 g/dia. A digestibilidade aparente da MS apresentou efeito significativo quadrático (P<0,05) entre as dietas com máxima digestibilidade de 71,02%, independente do indicador utilizado. Para estimativa da excreção fecal (g/dia) e digestbilidade aparente da MS não houve diferença estatística (P>0,05) ao se utilizar os indicadores internos (MSi, FDNi, FDAi) e externo (Cr2O3) com médias de 371 g/dia e 67,20%, respectivamente, independente da dieta utilizada. O resíduo de feijão pode substituir a torta de algodão em até 60%, no concentrado.
