In this study whose theme is “infographics in the dissemination of health information in the television context from a multimodal perspective”, we aim to investigate the semiotic resources present in infographics in the recontextualization of scientific knowledge about cancer in Rede Globo's Bem Estar program. Thus, we sought to describe the use of infographics in the Bem Estar program (Rede Globo); to verify the role of infographics in the organization and the recontextualization of cancer information; to list, in male cancer infographics, the semiotic resources used and to analyze the contribution of semiotic resources in the process of popularizing male cancer information in the Bem Estar Program. To develop the research, Reading Images was used as theoretical and methodological support for the analysis of semiotic resources present in the texts. The research was exploratory, with a qualitative approach and method of multimodal linguistic analysis, in which two programs were selected for the study, thus totaling a corpus of eight infographics on male cancer. For the analysis of infographics, we used the compositional meta-function of visual language, with its respective categories (informational value, salience, and framing), with adaptations to enable the analysis of moving images. From the results, we concluded that the infographics analyzed, through its multimodal construction, recontextualize scientific contents about health and, in this recontextualization process, the image is used as a protagonist in the production of meaning.
