This research aimed to present reflections about Wapichana children between 11 and 14 years old from the Canauanim Indigenous Community, in the municipality of Cantá, located approximately 25 km from the capital Boa Vista-RR, aiming to understand how their social formation occurs. The study was based on the Intercultural Inductive Method devised by Jorge Gasché. This Method is linked to the Vygotskian approach based on Activity Theory which points out that the development of the human being occurs through the need for a relationship with the environment in which it is inserted, and therefore the personality produced by the social relations that the human being establishes by its activity and constitutes an advanced process of development. In this sense, the research is based on an ethnographic perspective which was intended to analyze and understand how the Wapichana child builds his knowledge from his established interactions of his experiences. When discussing the elements in the social development of children from the experience of the Intercultural Inductive Method, it became clear how children establish their first link with society and the world through family life, which we could observe in the Socionatural Calendar and consider that this interrelation of knowledge promotes social formation based on relationships with parents, the community and the environment in which they operate.
