Resumo: The objective of this work was provide to the students of the Agricultural Technical Course the opportunity to develop the analytical capacity and preparation to face problems situation through the collective study of the agronomic and industrial aspects of ground tomato in CEFET-Uruta? / Uned Morrinhos, GO. The technique of teaching Study of Cases was used in comparison with the traditional methodology through the use of the tests no parametric of Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon. Seeking to overcome eventual difficulties of students, theoretical and practical activities were developed, from the planning stage to the analysis of the obtained results, in a critical way in relation to the technological packages for the culture. The agronomic and industrial evaluation of ground tomato is presented in the Chapter II, and was performed whit an experiment in randomized blocks, with 4 replications and 15 treatments (cultivars), developed in Morrinhos. It was applied the Scott-Knott test for grouping the averages. The experiment was the basis for the Study of Case, and, therefore, it involved the students of the Agricultural Technical Course collectively. The earnings of acquired technical knowledge in this work on the tomato growing for processing stand out: the selection of more productive cultivars in terms of tons of fruit and pulp quality, for the edafoclimatic conditions of Morrinhos. One of the strong points of that work was the invigoration of the students participation student on the teaching-learning process cooperative spirit, because they lived the value of the work in group in search for solutions for the problems related to the technical learning of a culture that challenges specialists. In that way, the technique of teaching Study of Cases was more efficient concerning the learning of the students, when compared with the traditional method.

Foi utilizada a t?cnica de ensino Estudo de Caso em compara??o com a metodologia de ensino tradicional, e as m?dias comparadas pelos testes n?o param?tricos de Kruskal-Wallis e Wilcoxon. Visando ? supera??o de eventuais dificuldades de aprendizagem desses alunos, foram desenvolvidas atividades te?ricas e pr?ticas, desde a etapa de planejamento at? a an?lise dos resultados obtidos, de maneira cr?tica em rela??o aos pacotes tecnol?gicos preconizados para a referida cultura. A avalia??o agron?mica e industrial do tomate rasteiro est? apresentada no Cap?tulo II, e foi feita a partir de um experimento em blocos ao acaso, com 4 repeti??es e 15 tratamentos (cultivares), desenvolvido na Uned Morrinhos. Foi aplicado o teste de Scott-Knott para compara??o das m?dias. O referido experimento foi a base para o Estudo de Caso, e, portanto, contou com o envolvimento coletivo dos alunos do Curso T?cnico Agr?cola. Quanto aos ganhos de conhecimento t?cnico adquirido neste trabalho sobre a cultura do tomateiro para processamento destaca-se a sele??o de cultivares mais produtivas em termos de toneladas de frutos e qualidade de polpa, para as condi??es edafoclim?ticas da Uned Morrinhos. Um dos pontos fortes desse trabalho foi o fortalecimento do esp?rito cooperativo dos alunos participantes do processo de ensino-aprendizagem, pois vivenciaram o valor do trabalho em grupo na busca de solu??es para os problemas relacionados ? aprendizagem t?cnica diante de uma cultura que desafia especialistas.
