Resumo: | From the earliest human communities and to our current 7 billion people, humanity extracts of nature in a predatory way the resources essential for their survival, resulting in a major environmental imbalance and returning us serious social problems. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as a counterpoint voracious exclusively financial interests of the capitalist system and big business, opening a new perspective to the social interests of the community and environmental preservation of our planet. As in the organizational world, the shopping center market has always sought to maximize their revenues at the expense of social and environmental values, however in the mid-2000s, some enterprises have adopted some practices were more strongly in their management of CSR, making room to a new logic of doing business in the sector. This study presents a tool for measuring CSR policy for shopping malls in Brazil on the optics of the Triple Bottom Line, where the social, environmental and economic sustainability are seen as equally essential to the real business success. The study included 50 representatives from malls, from different regions of the country who responded to the proposed instrument consists of 48 items subdivided into spheres Environmental, Social and Governance. The analysis and discussion of the data allowed us to understand a wide variety of actions and positions on CSR by the mall. Additionally we compared the operating conditions of two shopping centers in the state of Rio de Janeiro, which despite being located in neighboring towns are about 80km away. The findings indicate the feasibility / necessities to use the instrument seeking to establish a minimum standard to be followed by shopping centers at the beginning of its activity. |

The findings indicate the feasibility / necessities to use the instrument seeking to establish a minimum standard to be followed by shopping centers at the beginning of its activity. Submitted by Sandra Pereira (srpereira@ufrrj.br) on 2020-06-25T21:45:31Z No. of bitstreams: 1 2012 - Marcelo Freitas Moura Costa.pdf: 2697608 bytes, checksum: e02de3a0115637714b217ca9a509172b (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-06-25T21:45:31Z (GMT). From the earliest human communities and to our current 7 billion people, humanity extracts of nature in a predatory way the resources essential for their survival, resulting in a major environmental imbalance and returning us serious social problems. |
