Resumo: The aim of this study is to contribute to the enhancement of the PROEJA (Professional Program for Youngsters and Adults) course at CEFET- Bambu? identifying and analyzing the possible gaps and inconsistencies that lead to school evasion. This research allowed an interaction with students that had left, and the opinions of the teachers of the course. The data gathered within these study groups allow the design of alternatives to reduce school evasion. Within the students? needs and alternatives to reduce evasion, we have an interview as part of the entrance procedures, because it allows the identification of the main difficulties that these students have, such as, time availability to attend the course, scholarships, means of transportation. Other aid mechanisms might be adopted such as special classes and extra classes. They would help the students to remain at school because in many cases the students don?t remember the subjects previously studied and a sense of failure leads them to leave school. For the teachers, it is necessary that they understand what kind of education this is, they need to study and develop better ways to reach the students. Complementary teacher training should be provided, and the educational laws on PROEJA should be studied. Furthermore, specific materials and books in quantity and with quality should be available for teachers so that they can do a good job.

Furthermore, specific materials and books in quantity and with quality should be available for teachers so that they can do a good job.Esta pesquisa, caracterizada como um estudo de caso, tendo como objetivo identificar e analisar as poss?veis lacunas e inconsist?ncias relativas ? evas?o escolar dos alunos e adequa??o deste programa ?s suas necessidades e expectativas, contribuindo para a melhoria do PROEJA no CEFET-Bambu?. A realiza??o da presente pesquisa permitiu conhecer melhor a opini?o dos alunos evadidos sobre os cursos, tamb?m, a opini?o dos docentes do curso na referida escola. Os dados foram coletados atrav?s de um question?rio, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, aplicados aos professores do PROEJA do CEFET-Bambu? e aos alunos evadidos desse curso, no per?odo de 2006 a 2009. Com base nas respostas dos alunos evadidos e dos professores foi poss?vel tra?ar algumas a??es para a redu??o da evas?o escolar na referida institui??o. Em rela??o aos alunos, uma possibilidade para redu??o da evas?o escolar nos cursos t?cnicos do PROEJA no CEFET-Bambu? seria a realiza??o de um exame seletivo, por meio de entrevista. Durante a entrevista, ? poss?vel perceber as principais necessidades dos alunos, como hor?rio do curso, bolsa de estudos, transportes. A realiza??o de uma mudan?a no hor?rio do curso tamb?m poderia diminuir a evas?o, uma vez que, os alunos entrevistados demonstraram ter dificuldades de adapta??o aos hor?rios do curso. Outra op??o para facilitar a chegada do aluno ? escola seria a disponibiliza??o de transporte escolar. A oferta de bolsas de estudo tamb?m pode ser efetiva, j? que foi a op??o mais citada pelos alunos entrevistados e ? coerente, frente ? realidade social dos alunos que, na maioria, tem remunera??o em m?dia de dois sal?rios m?nimos. A implementa??o de aulas de refor?o e revis?o de alguns conte?dos do Ensino Fundamental poderia facilitar a continuidade do aluno no curso. Outras op??es s?o a implanta??o de uma pol?tica de discrimina??o positiva e a implanta??o de um sistema de orienta??o ao estudante. Em rela??o aos professores, se faz necess?ria a implementa??o de a??es que motivem a participa??o dos docentes em grupos de estudo sobre o PROEJA e em cursos de capacita??o.Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-26T16:55:37Z (GMT).
