Resumo: Following professional second grade education reform regulated by the Law 9394/96 and Decree 2208/97 of the Federal Government, EAFST-ES un beg to deal with Curricular Components within a module fashion, a change that imposed difficulties to carry out field teaching activity. The adoption of Project s Pedagogy , through which students effectively participate in their own apprendiceship, is able to contribute to solve such problems. However, at EAFST-ES Project s Pedagogy has been only applied for the conventional agriculture system. The present work had the purpose to afford conditions for students themselves to compare conventional and organic crop systems by the Project s Pedagogy method. The program was developed with students in the third period of the Agriculture Thecnical Course, Plant Production Curricular Component I. For the pepper crop, cultivars Magali R and Ikeda were chosen; as for eggplant, the cultivars used were Ci?a and Napoli. Interdisciplinary approaches included Codes & Languages and Natural Sciences teaching areas, whereas Curricular Components comprized Soil Fertility & Plant Nutrition , Pest & Disease Management , Administration Notions , and Topography . Student s ability to access thecnical information concerning program development; occurrence of pests and diseases in conection to control measures; yields and economic performances of the cultivars under each production system; and acceptance of consumers with respect of harvested products from the two crop management systems were evaluated. The students detected that EAFST-ES library has a reduced number of issues referring organic agriculture. On pepper crop, mites, mosaic symptoms, bacterial spot, anthracnose, and Rhizoctonia root rot were identified. Relating eggplant, mites, fruit borer, infectious dieback, anthracnose, and slugs were monitored. Emphasis was given to the efficacy of sulpur + calcium mixture for mite control in the organic pepper plot. The commercial fungicide Cuprozeb was found to be more efficient than Bordeaux mixture for dieback control in eggplant. Regarding productivity, Magali R was superior to Ikeda in the conventional system and vice-versa took place in the organic system. Both eggplant cultivars showed higher yields with conventional management pepper had improved economic performance under organic cultivation while eggplant showed opposite behavior. Consumers had preference for organic products and students reported greater knowledge acquired through all the interdisciplinary activities accomplished. Around 96% of the class decided to recommend organic cultivation to local vegetable growers.

Around 96% of the class decided to recommend organic cultivation to local vegetable growers.A partir da reforma do ensino m?dio e profissional, atrav?s da Lei 9394/96 e do Decreto Federal 2208/97, a Escola Agrot?cnica Federal de Santa Teresa, estado do Esp?rito Santo (EAFST-ES) passou a trabalhar com os Componentes Curriculares de forma modular, o que dificultou a realiza??o de atividades pr?ticas no campo. O emprego da Pedagogia de Projetos , em que os alunos efetivamente participam, construindo sua pr?pria aprendizagem, vem contribuir para a resolu??o desse problema. Entretanto, a Pedagogia de Projetos tem sido empregada na EAFST-ES apenas para o sistema convencional de produ??o agr?cola. O objetivo deste trabalho foi proporcionar ao aluno condi??es de auto-avaliar comparativamente os sistemas convencional e org?nico atrav?s da Pedagogia de Projetos . O programa foi desenvolvido com a turma do terceiro per?odo do Curso T?cnico em Agropecu?ria no Componente Curricular Produ??o Vegetal I, sendo que para a cultura do piment?o foram selecionadas as cultivares Magali R e Ikeda, e para a da berinjela as cultivares Ci?a e N?poli. Foram efetivadas atividades interdisciplinares envolvendo as ?reas de C?digos & Ling?agens e Ci?ncias da Natureza, pertencentes ao ensino m?dio regular, como tamb?m os Componentes Curriculares: Fertilidade do Solo e Nutri??o de Plantas, Manejo Fitossanit?rio, No??es de Administra??o e Topografia, do ensino profissional. Foram avaliadas: a capacidade demonstrada pelos alunos em obter informa??es t?cnicas para desenvolvimento do programa; a ocorr?ncia de problemas fitossanit?rios em conex?o com as medidas de controle adotadas; a produtividade e rentabilidade econ?mica de cada uma das cultivares em ambos os sistemas de cultivo; a aceita??o, por parte dos consumidores da regi?o, de produtos oriundos dos dois sistemas de cultivo; e a constru??o do conhecimento em fun??o do enfoque interdisciplinar. Os alunos constataram que a biblioteca da EAFST-ES disp?e de um reduzido n?mero de refer?ncias sobre o sistema org?nico de produ??o. Com respeito ? fitossanidade, identificaram-se na cultura do piment?o: ?caros, sintomas de mosaico, mancha bacteriana, antracnose e rizotoniose; na cultura da berinjela: ?caros, broca do fruto, seca dos ramos, antracnose e ataque de lesmas. Destacaram- se: a efici?ncia da calda sulfoc?lcica no controle de ?caros, na cultura do piment?o em sistema org?nico e a maior efici?ncia do fungicida comercial Cuprozeb em compara??o ? calda bordalesa no controle da seca dos ramos da berinjela. Em rela??o ? produtividade, o piment?o Magali R foi superior no sistema convencional e Ikeda no org?nico. Ambas as cultivares de berinjela mostraram desempenho superior no sistema convencional. As cultivares de piment?o apresentaram rentabilidade econ?mica mais alta sob manejo org?nico e as de berinjela no cultivo convencional. Houve prefer?ncia dos consumidores pelos produtos org?nicos.
