Resumo: This work of research objectified to disclose to the performance of the egresses of Federal Agrot?cnica School of Colorado do Oeste - RO, and the contributions of these professionals for the social, economic sustainability of the city in question. It was analyzed the paper of the School in the professional formation of young people that develop professional activities in sectors of the economy of the related city. The importance of the Accompaniment of Egresses for the Institution was showed through this research. The research was developed in the city of Colorado do Oeste - RO and for this was realized through population s mapping of the egresses inserted in the world of work by the institution in the period between 1997 and 2007; identified the professional activities developed by the egresses and pointed those promoters of the development with social, economic sustainability; and still, elaborated the profiles of the egresses and the companies and/or businesses in which they develop their activities. The research was realized through interviews with the application of questionnaires half-structuralized to the egresses. The methodology used in the accomplishment of the research was to the qualitative one. The research showed the professional education in its different times, and its importance in the professional formation of the young people. The Project Pedagogical Politician of the Course, the Project Institutional Pedagogical Politician and the School s Mission had been instruments guided in the accomplishment of this research. The conception of sustainability praised for Alo?sio Ruscheinsky (2004:18), and important events about Environment, such as The Conference of United Nations about the Human Environment, in Stockholm - Sweden, carried in 1972, Brundtland Commission, the ECO-92, knew as the United Nations Conference on the Environment and Development, among others, had been important in the accomplishment of this research. It showed that economic, social and environmental aspects measure the development in its perspective of sustainability standing out the strong linking between the economic sustainability and the environmental one. The research allowed to infer that the egresses are slowly appropriating themselves of the new quarrels on the sustainability, and that the economic -productive dimension continues to be the biggest focus of implemented actions e, therefore, they start to have greater visibility on the part of the egresses. The research observed that the level of apprehension of the direction of the economic development, in general, and of the sustainability, in specific terms, starts to incorporate qualitative aspects of the economic growth, social responsibility and with the Environment. It was identified that the actions implemented in the promotion of the economic and social sustainability of the city are being practiced for the egresses that act in public companies State and the Farming Houses, companies these, come back to the development of on activities to the primary sector of the local economy. The research disclosed that the majority of the egresses develop their activities in the urban productive sectors, in detriments to a minority that is in the agricultural way, and same those deriving ones of the agricultural zone don t come back to that way, motivated for economic, social, structural and educational problems existing. It still clarified the importance of the School to insert in its Resume didactic -pedagogical actions for the quarrel of the social, economic sustainability of the city of Colorado do Oeste - RO.

Analisou-se o papel da Escola na forma??o profissional de jovens que desenvolvem suas atividades profissionais em setores da economia do referido munic?pio. Mostrou-se, com a Pesquisa, a import?ncia do acompanhamento de Egressos para a Institui??o. A Pesquisa foi desenvolvida no munic?pio de Colorado do Oeste RO e para tanto foi realizado o mapeamento da popula??o de egressos colocados no mundo do trabalho pela institui??o no per?odo de 1997 a 2007; identificadas as atividades profissionais desenvolvidas pelos egressos e pontuadas aquelas promotoras do desenvolvimento com sustentabilidade s?cio-econ?mica; e ainda, elaborados os perfis dos egressos e das empresas e/ou neg?cios nas quais desenvolvem suas atividades. A Pesquisa foi realizada atrav?s de entrevistas com a aplica??o de question?rios semi-estruturados para os egressos. A metodologia usada na realiza??o da pesquisa foi a qualitativa. A pesquisa mostrou a educa??o profissional em suas diferentes ?pocas, e sua import?ncia na forma??o profissional dos jovens. O Projeto Pol?tico Pedag?gico do Curso, o Projeto Pol?tico Pedag?gico Institucional e a Miss?o da Escola foram instrumentos norteadores na realiza??o dessa pesquisa. A concep??o de sustentabilidade preconizada por Alo?sio Ruscheinsky (2004:18), e importantes eventos sobre Meio Ambiente, como: A Confer?ncia das Na??es Unidas sobre o Ambiente Humano, em Estocolmo - Su?cia, realizada em 1972, Relat?rio de Brundtland, A ECO-92, conhecida como a Confer?ncia das Na??es Unidas para o Meio Ambiente e o Desenvolvimento, dentre outros, foram importantes na realiza??o dessa Pesquisa. Mostrou ainda que aspectos econ?micos, sociais e ambientais dimensionam o desenvolvimento em sua perspectiva de sustentabilidade ressaltando a forte liga??o entre a sustentabilidade econ?mica e a ambiental. A Pesquisa permitiu inferir que os egressos est?o aos poucos se apropriando de novas discuss?es sobre a sustentabilidade, e que a dimens?o econ?mico-produtiva continua a ser o maior foco das a??es implementadas e, por conseguinte, passam a ter maior visibilidade por parte dos egressos. A pesquisa observou que o n?vel de apreens?o do sentido do desenvolvimento econ?mico, em geral, e da sustentabilidade, em termos espec?ficos, come?a a incorporar aspectos qualitativos do crescimento econ?mico, responsabilidade social e com o Meio Ambiente. Identificou-se que as a??es implementadas na promo??o da sustentabilidade econ?mica e social do munic?pio est?o sendo praticadas pelos egressos que atuam em empresas P?blicas Estaduais e nas Casas Agropecu?rias, empresas essas, voltadas ao desenvolvimento de atividades ligadas ao setor prim?rio da economia local. A Pesquisa revelou que a maioria dos egressos desenvolve suas atividades nos setores produtivos urbanos, em detrimento a uma minoria que est? no meio rural, e mesmo aqueles oriundos da zona rural n?o voltam ?quele meio, motivados por problemas econ?micos, sociais, estruturais e educacionais existentes.
