Educação do corpo e o adiamento da morte via tecnologia : lançando um olhar sobre a formação em Medicina no Campus de Lagarto

Resumo: At first, the effort made to this work is an attempt to understand the science power and its relation with the technique and the technology on life control, in the sense of potentiating the body as organism beyond its natural capacity. As such, this research aims mainly to analyze how the Medical School students of Campus Universitário Professor Antônio Garcia Filho are being qualified during their graduation to deal with subjects like death and technology use to postpone it. To collate data a documentary analysis was conducted and later online and present interviews were done with students, former students and involved professors. The data were interpreted on Bardin's content analysis technique.The collation of data brought relevant features about the mentality of research participants in relation to the theme. From this analysis three main centerlines were noticed: “formation”, “technological implementation” and “death on its subjective aspects”. In general, these centerlines were enough to achieve the research goals. Concerning the first centerline we can conclude that the active methodology adopted by the Campus build an independent student who studies continually, is creative on new ways of problem solution, critical individual and responsible for his/her learning process. About the second centerline we realized how much discussing the use of technology to death postponement has created deep reflections related to the private way to deal with the theme and has created important debates on Bioethics, Law and Religion as well. Concerning the third and last centerline we understand that scientific and religious truth have their authority in arguing on individual’s bodies, life and death. As education researchers we understand that it is necessary render problematic on how those discussions are responsible for creating the meaning about bodies, in this case, the medical corps. We highlight the necessity of questioning those messages delivered like “truths” and that legitimize their authority about life and death.

We highlight the necessity of questioning those messages delivered like “truths” and that legitimize their authority about life and death.A princípio, o esforço feito aqui é uma tentativa de entender o poder da ciência na sua relação com a técnica e a tecnologia no controle sobre a vida no sentido de potencializar o corpo enquanto organismo para além de suas capacidades naturais. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo principal analisar como os alunos do curso de medicina do Campus Universitário Professor Antônio Garcia Filho, estão sendo preparados durante a sua formação para lidar com temas como a morte e uso da tecnologia para o seu adiamento. Para a coleta de dados, foi realizada uma análise documental e aplicou-se posteriormente as entrevistas de forma presencial e online aos alunos, ex-alunos, professores envolvidos. Os dados foram interpretados por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin. A coleta dos dados trouxe características relevantes sobre a percepção dos participantes da pesquisa com relação a temática. A partir da análise, verificou-se três eixos principais: “A formação”, “a implementação tecnológica” e “a morte nos seus aspectos subjetivos”. Esses eixos de forma geral se encarregaram de dar conta dos objetivos propostos. Com o primeiro eixo, concluímos que as metodologias ativas adotadas pelo Campus formam um aluno autônomo, que estuda continuadamente, criativo nas novas propostas de resolução de problemas, sujeito crítico e responsável pelo seu processo de aprendizagem. Com o segundo eixo, percebemos o quanto discutir a utilização da tecnologia para o adiamento da morte gerou reflexões profundas com relação ao modo particular de cada um lidar com o tema, ao tempo que gerou também importantes debates com o campo da bioética, do direito e da religião. Com o terceiro e último eixo, compreendemos que as verdades científicas e religiosas, possuem sua autoridade em advogar sobre os corpos, a vida e a morte dos indivíduos. Enquanto pesquisadores do campo da Educação entendemos que é preciso problematizar os modos como esses discursos são responsáveis pela produção de sentido sobre os corpos, nesse caso, o corpo médico.
