Resumo: The anthropogenic derivations materialize in the geographic space several contradictions, these being fomented by the economic, political, social and cultural interventions of the human relations with the nature, coming from the accelerated increase of the consumption, the lack of planning and socioenvironmental management that respects the fragilities of the environment. Understanding this reality, the dissertation was built with the perspective of performing integrated landscape analysis, considering the inheritance of biophysical processes, articulating positive and / or negative interventions. In this dimension, the central objective is to evaluate water potential, along with anthropogenic processes, from the socio-environmental perspective, in the upper reaches of the Subaé River, in Feira de Santana-BA. In order to reach such a north, the research was guided by the theoretical-conceptual knowledge of discussions about Hydrographic Basins (spatial management unit), Landscape (integrated category of geographic science) and socio-environmental approach in the context of conflicts between society and nature, a practical effort carried out through the field activities, where the empirical data collected was verified and updated, and at the same time a space for identifying the nuances of the historical relations developed in this environment, as well as the support of institutions that foster research in the State and in the country, such as UEFS, CONDER and INMET, which provided essential secondary data for the understanding of temporal analysis. In this way, the combination of such information contemplates the understanding of the scenarios of the study area. It should be noted that the high course of the Subaé River presents an important landscape potential that has been shaped throughout geological time, and that, in a certain way, favors the maintenance of current biophysical characteristics and dynamics. This adaptive capacity guarantees the maintenance of the drainage network, in view of the climatic, biological and structural diversity it presents. Understanding this dynamic, it is concluded that: through the encouragement of the Union, the Subaé river and consequently the springs will have great difficulty to remain present in the landscape in the sector located in the city of Feira de Santana. The negative anthropogenic derivations identified promote an optimistic scenario of preservation or recovery of these areas. The advance through the invasion of real estate speculation, the attraction of new industries or expansion of those that already exist reinforce the existing logic of environmental degradation, since the neglect with environmental conditions has been presenting intense discomforts in urban and rural environments, such as floods, (erosion) and vegetation cover, reduction or lack of water, besides the difficulty of the performance of agricultural and industrial activities. This sectorization of high-level drainage will involve the reorganization of water dynamics, alteration of water flow and the interrelation with other environmental constraints, mainly anthropic.

Compreendendo tal realidade, a dissertação foi construída com a perspectiva de realizar análise integrada da paisagem, considerando a herança dos processos biofísicos, articulado as intervenções positivas e/ou negativas. Nessa dimensão, o objetivo central direciona-se para avaliar potencialidades hídricas, ao lado de processos antropogênicos, na perspectiva socioambiental, em nascentes do alto curso do rio Subaé, em Feira de Santana-BA. E para alcançar tal norte, a pesquisa foi guiada pelo conhecimento teórico-conceitual de discussões sobre Bacias Hidrográficas (unidade de gestão espacial), Paisagem (categoria integradora da ciência geográfica) e a abordagem socioambiental no contexto dos conflitos entre sociedade e natureza, articulado ao esforço prático realizado através das atividades de campo, onde foram verificados e atualizados os dados empíricos coletados e ao mesmo tempo, espaço de identificação das nuanças das relações históricas desenvolvidas nesse ambiente, além do apoio de instituições que fomentam a pesquisa no Estado e no país, como: UEFS, CONDER e INMET que forneceram dados secundários imprescindíveis para a compreensão da análise temporal. Dessa forma, a junção de tais informações contempla o entendimento dos cenários da área de estudo. Haja vista, que o alto curso do rio Subaé apresenta importante potencialidade paisagística que foi moldada ao longo do tempo geológico, e que, de certo modo, favorece a manutenção das características e dinâmicas biofísicas da atualidade. Essa capacidade adaptativa é que garante a manutenção da rede de drenagem, tendo em vista, a diversidade climática, biológica, estrutural que apresenta. Compreendendo tal dinâmica, conclui-se que: através do incentivo da União, o rio Subaé e consequentemente as nascentes terão grande dificuldade de permanecerem presentes na paisagem no setor localizado na cidade de Feira de Santana. As derivações antropogênicas negativas identificadas promovem um cenário nada otimista de preservação ou recuperação dessas áreas. O avanço através da invasão da especulação imobiliária, da atração de novas indústrias ou ampliação das que já existem reforçam a lógica de degradação ambiental já existente, pois o descuido com condicionantes ambientais vem apresentando desconfortos intensos nos meios urbanos e rurais, como: enchentes, aumento da temperatura, alto índice de perda de solo (erosão) e cobertura vegetal, redução ou falta de água, além da dificuldade do desempenho das atividades agropecuárias e industriais.
