Addressing Information Management as an ally in the process of facilitating the vocational decision-making process, this research is based on the principle that the appropriate use of information has high significance in the construction of an ideal decision maker. It is characterized as a descriptive research, of an applied nature, and a quanti-qualitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive objectives, developed through an action research. The problem raised is: how the Municipal Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Labor of Tobias Barreto can it provide relevant information to the local labor market to support the decision-making process of those interested in the choices and insertion in the professional market? From this, the main objective is to analyze the information management at SMICT, as a subsidy for the decision making of young people in the city of Tobias Barreto regarding the choice of a professional career. The specific objectives were determined: to identify how information management carried out by the Municipal Secretariat for Industry, Commerce and Labor is linked to the professional orientation of the population; identify the informational behavior of high school students in the city of Tobias Barreto when making decisions about choosing a professional career; carry out a survey covering the main areas of professional activity in the municipality of Tobias; to build a Professions Guide as an aid tool in decision making in the field of professional activity, prepared based on the current labor market scenario in the municipality of Tobias Barreto / SE. This is a professional master's research that used a questionnaire (CDDQ34) and a interview to collect data, using a Bardin content analysis to analyze the results according to the objectives set. At the end, forame stream the difficulty levels of the requirements for professional career decision making, elucidating the possibility of, based on the results, proposing as a product of the following research, a Professions Guide that provides opportunities and helps in the decision-making process of which , in addition to boosting the investigation of this topic, proposed solutions and methods they provide, guarantee quality information so that uncertainties and insecurities are resolved.
