Resumo: The History and Philosophy of Science, as a research area or as a teaching approach, has attracted the attention of researchers and educators in teaching and has been covered by national official documents. Beginning with curricular and epistemological assumptions, this study aimed to evaluate the treatment given to historical and philosophical approach to science teaching project at the Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Universidade Federal de Sergipe - Campus São Cristóvão. Therefore, it is pointed out as a problem to be elucidated how the history and philosophy of science is recognized and addressed by the pedagogical design related course. Based on personal and academic reasons, justified the relevance of this research by crave meet curricular context of epistemological approach in its course, in order to understand the profile of teaching to be formed. In the scope of an exploratory and descriptive study, in which methodological procedures as state of the art research, document analysis and interviews, were used to dissertation was divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, the analysis of Brazilian scientific production regarding theme is performed. In the second, the national papers are examined, namely the LDB and NCP 's Primary and Secondary Education. In the third chapter, we analyze the DCN for the undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, the Pedagogical Project Course of Biological Sciences Bachelor of UFS and the menu of the History and Philosophy of Biological Sciences. Finally, the fourth chapter examines the interviews applied to academics. From the results obtained, it is emphasized that the research aimed to study the historical and philosophical approach to science in the Teaching of Natural Sciences and Mathematics continually reveal further exploration of significant potential and possibilities in the field of Science Teaching, as well as greater attention to all levels of education, but also prove to be a fruitful field for academic productions in science in many parts of Brazil. It is pointed out that national documents analyzed - LDB, and PCNEF PCNEM - direct efforts to promote scientific training in Basic Education and Higher Education, through its normative and pedagogical proposals and guidelines. Similarly, the proposals of DCN for courses in Biological Sciences and Education Programme Course of Biological Science Degree UFS act as scaffolds for integration and structuring of the epistemological approach to science teacher education in science and biology. Although there are advances in the integration of the history and philosophy of science at the undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences of UFS, their academic education needs more accurate and fertile as the interventions grounded in epistemological contextualization scientific literacy. It is argued that the discipline 'History and Philosophy of Biological Sciences' must be considered in its entirety and importance, that a unifying and cross shaft becomes to other disciplines and not be treated superficially, as a mere curricular element that serves to fill in gaps or to formally meet legal profess. Therefore, the present study provides normative and curriculum grants and contributions from researchers and educators in order to legitimize the presence and permanence of historical and philosophical approach to science in the course of teacher training in Biological Sciences, Universidade Federal de Sergipe.

Partindo de pressupostos curriculares e epistemológicos, o presente estudo objetiva conhecer o tratamento dado à abordagem histórica e filosófica da ciência pelo projeto pedagógico do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Federal de Sergipe Campus São Cristóvão. Logo, aponta-se como problema a ser elucidado de que forma a história e filosofia da ciência é reconhecida e contemplada pelo projeto pedagógico do referente curso. Baseando-se em motivações pessoais e acadêmicas, justifica-se a relevância da presente pesquisa por almejar conhecer o contexto curricular da abordagem epistemológica no respectivo curso, de forma a compreender o perfil de docente que se pretende formar. Num escopo de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, na qual foram utilizados procedimentos metodológicos como pesquisa de Estado da Arte, análise de documentos e de entrevistas, a dissertação foi dividida em quatro capítulos. No primeiro capítulo, é realizada a análise de produções científicas brasileiras quanto à temática. No segundo, são examinados os documentos nacionais, sendo eles a LDB e os PCN do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio. Já no terceiro capítulo, são analisadas as DCN para o curso de graduação em Ciências Biológicas, o Projeto Pedagógico do Curso de Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura da UFS, bem como a ementa da disciplina História e Filosofia das Ciências Biológicas. Por fim, no quarto capítulo, são examinadas as entrevistas aplicadas aos docentes universitários. Dos resultados obtidos, destaca-se que as pesquisas voltadas para o estudo da abordagem histórica e filosófica da ciência no Ensino de Ciências Naturais e Matemática revelam continuamente maior exploração de significantes potencialidades e possibilidades no campo do Ensino de Ciências, bem como maior atenção a todos os níveis de ensino, como também revelam ser um campo fecundo para as produções acadêmicas nas áreas científicas em diversos locais do Brasil. Aponta-se que os documentos nacionais analisados LDB, PCNEF e PCNEM direcionam esforços para promoção da formação científica na Educação Básica e no Ensino Superior, por meio de suas propostas e orientações normativas e pedagógicas. De forma semelhante, as propostas das DCN para os cursos de Ciências Biológicas e do Projeto Pedagógico do curso de Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura da UFS atuam como arcabouços para inserção e estruturação da abordagem epistemológica da ciência na formação de professores em ciências e em biologia. Apesar de haver avanços quanto à inserção da história e filosofia da ciência no curso de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas da UFS, a respectiva formação acadêmica carece de intervenções mais precisas e férteis quanto à alfabetização científica calcada na contextualização epistemológica. Defende-se que a disciplina História e Filosofia das Ciências Biológicas precisa estar contemplada em sua totalidade e importância, que se torne um eixo unificador e transversal para outras disciplinas e que não seja tratada de forma superficial, como mero elemento curricular que serve para preencher lacunas ou para atender formalmente a preconizações legais.
