The city of Itabaiana, located in the hilly central sergipano, presents very peculiar characteristics. In the state of Sergipe it has stood out for some time in front of the other cities that are located in the interior of Sergipe. However, in addition to gaining evidence at the local level, the mountain city gains regional and national renown. Known as the National Capital of the Truck, among other adjectives, Itabaiana stands out in the economic sphere as to its potential urban developments evidenced in the expansion of the city in recent years, as it exerts influence in the surrounding cities as well as establishing a direct relationship with the capital Aracaju. Thus, to develop the research, we use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques, based on the use of the bibliometrics resource to help us build our bibliographical and conceptual framework, valuing the local intellectual / scientific production, supported by the theses, dissertations, monographs, scientific articles, book chapters and others that have been complemented by the literature classics linked to urban themes. From then on, we developed the thesis with the aid of landscape analysis, bibliographical research, documentary research, unstructured observation and conjuncture analysis. To guide the research and to organize the paths of the thesis, we had as general objective: to analyze the interferences that the urban expansion provokes in the socio-environmental aspect of Itabaiana-SE and for that reason we defend the thesis that the socio-environmental impacts of Itabaiana-SE comes from the fomented urban expansion local entrepreneurship. Thus, it was evident that the urban spaces influenced by the urban expansion in the city of Itabaiana, and that are guided by Itamarian entrepreneurship, generate social and environmental impacts, since the activities related to the urban expansion of the city, although they are marked by Laws environmental policies, among others, generate social impacts for minors ranging from the expropriation of the most noble spaces in the urban area, even environmental impacts, such as suppression of vegetation cover, waterproofing of the soil or even pollution of water sources. And that the city spaces generate centralities, attracting to themselves characteristics very own, polarizing functions and interfering in the urban web.
