Resumo: This research aims to understand the moral, political and symbolic interspersed in abortion practice from the anthropological analysis of life narratives. In all, four women were interviewed who brought different reproductive trajectories, family, marital and policies, but with one thing in common: they are bodies marked by criminalized, unsafe and illegal abortion. Based on biographical perspective as production of knowledge tool, I appeal to the theoretical and methodological orientations of Feminist Anthropology and Post-Colonial studies to analyze the centrality of gender and power as constituent elements of social relations involving around the practice of abortion in Brazil. From Foucault´s perspective on the discursive practices, disciplinary power and the biopolitical power, I point out ways to understand, especially, the memory and silence as aspects present in reports marked by situations of political and symbolic inequality.

Ao todo, foram entrevistadas quatro mulheres que trazem consigo diferentes trajetórias reprodutivas, familiares, conjugais e políticas, mas com um ponto em comum: são corpos marcados pela prática do aborto criminalizado, inseguro e clandestino. Com base na perspectiva biográfica como ferramenta de produção de conhecimento, recorro às orientações teórico-metodológicas da Antropologia Feminista e dos estudos Pós-Coloniais para analisar a centralidade do gênero e do poder como elementos constitutivos das relações sociais travadas em torno da prática do aborto no Brasil.
