Resumo: Small rural communities have rich experiences in everyday life . People commonly create roots and identify with the territory where they were born , live, work , have families or friends . The inhabitants of a village share habits , keep symbols , perceptions and representations which are experienced in daily life and in meeting places such as church, school , square and traditional festivals . The geography is also dedicated to the study of the meaning of places, seeking out how individuals perceive and feel the places where they live and build . Selected the Sape village, located in the Northwest portion of the city of Itaporanga D.Ajuda , as the object of our analysis . The research aimed to know closely by the students and their families , the construction of the village socioespacialidade Sape . Specific project objectives were contextualize the construction of the village thatch ; identify the perception of the population born , created and residing in the territory ; verify the knowledge and recognition of the population over the territory ; ascertain the population demonstrates that feelings about the city ; analyze the social construction territory and population perspectives on the future of the territory . The approach is based on humanistic and cultural perspective of geography , based on the philosophies of meaning , especially phenomenology and existentialism . The method used was qualitative , which seeks to interpret, describe the complexity of human actions , enabling the direct and prolonged contact between the researcher and the research object . Through methodological tools such as observation , interviews , mental maps and photographic survey , we seek to uncover the perceptions of the population born , created and residing in the territory . Mental maps and interviews were applied to 60 students from the 6th and 7th year of elementary school of Prof. Nilson Barreto Socorro , resident in the village , and 22 families of these students . The Sape proved a hybrid territory composed of social actors interacting socioespacialmente the build and rebuild with multiple territories . The inhabitants , even in the face of technological advances and the current mobility , nourish feelings for him topophilia and belonging , preserving traditions and anchoring geossimbolos .

As pessoas comumente criam raizes e se identificam com o territorio onde nasceram, moram, trabalham, possuem familias ou amigos. Os habitantes de um povoado compartilham habitos, guardam simbolos, percepcoes e representacoes os quais sao vivenciados no cotidiano e nos lugares de encontro como a igreja, a escola, a praca e as festas tradicionais. A geografia tambem se dedica ao estudo do sentido dos lugares, buscando verificar como os individuos percebem e sentem os lugares onde vivem e constroem. Selecionamos o povoado Sape, localizado na porcao Noroeste do municipio de Itaporanga D.Ajuda, como objeto de nossa analise. A pesquisa visou conhecer de perto, atraves dos alunos e suas familias, a construcao da socioespacialidade no povoado Sape. Foram objetivos especificos do projeto contextualizar a construcao do povoado Sape; identificar a percepcao da populacao nascida, criada e residente no territorio; verificar o conhecimento e o reconhecimento da populacao sobre o territorio; averiguar que sentimentos a populacao demonstra acerca da localidade; analisar a construcao social do territorio e as perspectivas da populacao quanto ao futuro do territorio. A abordagem fundamenta-se na perspectiva humanista e cultural da geografia, calcada nas filosofias do significado, especialmente a fenomenologia e o existencialismo. O metodo utilizado foi o qualitativo, o qual busca interpretar, descrever a complexidade das acoes humanas, possibilitar o contato direto e prolongado do pesquisador com seu objeto de estudo. Atraves de instrumentos metodologicos como a observacao, entrevistas, os mapas mentais e levantamento fotografico, buscamos desvelar as percepcoes da populacao nascida, criada e residente no territorio. Os mapas mentais e entrevistas foram aplicados a 60 estudantes do 6¨¬ e 7¨¬ ano do Ensino Fundamental da E.M. Prof. Nilson Barreto Socorro, residentes no povoado, e a 22 familiares desses alunos. O Sape revelou-se um territorio hibrido formado por atores sociais que interagem socioespacialmente, o constroem e reconstroem, com multiplas territorialidades.
