Resumo: | We currently live in an Era dominated and guided by the capitalist principles of development where modern and consumer life deepens planetary crises. These crises generate serious negative consequences for marginalized populations, such as the rural space, when the environment is analyzed from the perspective of the subjects and their networks of relationships. Based on the problem presented, the present study is based on a bibliographical investigation considering contributions of Sustainable Development theories based on the principles of Agroecology, in addition to other classic and contemporary authors that support the debate. In view of the better delimitation of the study, the research is directed towards the families of Family Farming that seek a “more ecological” production, known as “in agroecological transition”. In this sense, we seek to carry out a case study of two family production units in an attempt to better understand how the relationships and practices between producers and their surroundings, with ATER technicians, with the market and, of course, take place. , with the State itself. With this, we seek to point out some central challenges that emerge from this reality that, at times, hinder the social and ecological development of agroecosystems. For this purpose, data collection was carried out through an approximation with the subjects, on-site visits and interviews, which were later analyzed using the Content Analysis technique, accepting the multidimensions of sustainability from the Agroecology (ecological, social, economic, cultural, political and ethical) as the categories of analysis, for later interpretation. Thus, an experience of organic production of vegetables, with certification via OCS and structured marketing at fairs, at PNAE and, recently, via baskets. The other experience is a dairy cattle unit with regular use of homeopathies (tick and mammite control), as well as the use of rational pastures, direct planting, care in the use of land and offer of silage as a supplement to creation.The interpretation of the data suggests that there are countless challenges to be faced by families that seek a more ecological production, however, these experiences present a relative potential for socio-environmental advancement through mutual support, solidarity and the union of subjects. There is also an important presence of public services of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension in the municipality that can serve as support for the respective strengthening of Family Farming, however, the State does not replace the importance of social movements towards greater autonomy, freedom and dignity. |

Essas crises geram sérias consequências negativas para as populações marginalizadas, tais como o espaço rural, quando analisado o meio ambiente a partir dos sujeitos e de suas redes de relações. Com base no problema apresentado, o presente estudo apoia-se em uma investigação bibliográfica considerando aportes das teorias do Desenvolvimento Sustentável fundamentados nos princípios da Agroecologia, além de outros autores clássicos e contemporâneos que auspiciam o debate. Em vista de melhor delimitação do estudo, direciona-se à pesquisa, as famílias da Agricultura Familiar que buscam uma produção “mais ecológica”, dita “em transição agroecológica”. Nesse sentido, busca-se a realização de um estudo de caso de duas unidades familiares de produção na tentativa de melhor entender como se dão as relações e práticas entre os produtores com seu entorno, com os técnicos de ATER, com o mercado e, naturalmente, com o próprio Estado. Com isso, busca-se apontar alguns desafios centrais que emergem desta realidade que, por vezes, obstaculizam o desenvolvimento social e ecológico dos agroecossistemas. Para tanto, a coleta de dados foi feita por meio de uma aproximação com os sujeitos, visitas in loco e entrevistas que, posteriormente, foram submetidos a análise por meio da técnica da Análise de Conteúdo, aceitando as multidimensões da sustentabilidade a partir da Agroecologia (ecológica, social, econômica, cultural, política e ética) como as categorias de análise, para posterior interpretação. Dessa forma, recorreu-se ao estudo de caso de uma experiência de produção orgânica de olerícolas, com certificação via OCS e comercialização estruturada em feiras, no PNAE e, recentemente via cestas. A outra experiência trata-se de uma unidade pecuária leiteira com uso regular de homeopatias (controle de carrapato e mamite), bem como o uso de pastagens racionais, plantio direto, cuidados no uso dos solos e oferta de silagem como suplemento à criação. A interpretação dos dados sugere que são inúmeros os desafios a serem enfrentados pelas famílias que buscam uma produção mais ecológica, no entanto, essas experiências apresentam um relativo potencial para o avanço socioambiental através do apoio mútuo, da solidariedade e da união dos sujeitos. Nota-se, ainda, uma importante presença dos serviços públicos de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural no município que podem servir de apoio para o respectivo fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar, contudo, o Estado não substitui a importância de movimentos sociais em direção de maior autonomia, liberdade e dignidade.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Extensão RuralUFSMBrasilExtensão Rural e DesenvolvimentoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAgricultura familiarAgroecologiaATERDesenvolvimento sustentávelFamily farmingAgroecologySustainable developmentCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIA::EXTENSAO RURALDinâmicas e desafios da agricultura familiar: caminhos e rumos para o fortalecimento social e ecológico no município de Rio Grande/RSDynamics and challenges of family agriculture: ways and routes for social and ecological strengthening in the municipality of Rio Grande/RSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisVaz, Fabiano Nuneshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3120369205898923Wizniewsky, José Geraldohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8502017453675807Picolotto, Everton LazzarettiVasconcellos, Andreiahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3947828499067211Wigg, David Luiz Mendonça5001006000076006006006006006000832f949-be7f-4a7d-aac6-5f51f8bcfe04d2528ec4-da52-4bfe-a5a1-7ed34096c30166d10d8b-bc49-4eb5-8091-82bf93d41756d5264ba2-9e00-41aa-b4f7-7966c8eec77f9ef4a380-90e0-4ef5-b611-c4fd2e51124creponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGER_2021_WIGG_DAVID.pdfDIS_PPGER_2021_WIGG_DAVID.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf3712562http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/23634/1/DIS_PPGER_2021_WIGG_DAVID.pdfab6e91dedbb00dced30cdd1e0e942909MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
