Resumo: This thesis presents a discussion about the role of Colombian food in the construction of memories among and with families of Colombian refugees resettled in the city of Santa MariaRS. In this specific context of mobility, it was observed the cultivation and harvest of spices, the search for ingredients in the markets, the negotiation of ingredients, the preparation, distribution and, finally, the sharing of food collectively as a way to narrate and relocate in the world after the traumatic experience of expulsion from the country of origin. A discussion is thus developed from the concepts of the anthropology of food, mobilities and displacements, and memory studies, to understand the communicative power that food has; evoking feelings and memories of the country of origin, creating transnational bonds that go beyond the claim of a national identity, and producing habits that are transmitted from generation to generation. The research was developed between March 2019 and December 2022, however, some of the information to which I refer here was previously recorded through my experience as a Colombian in Santa Maria and my direct participation in these networks of Colombians. Through ethnographic research, and the use of participant observation, interviews, conviviality in person and in virtual social networks, the commensalities, sociabilities and narrative constructions made possible through Colombian food in Santa Maria were known. It is concluded that the spaces of commensality are events in which the social body is reproduced, the country of origin is remembered, and past moments of scarcity are resigned. The observation of food in the refuge context showed that keeping the food practices as in Colombia was a strategy to search for meaning in everyday life and a way to remember a country of origin in peace, that is, when food is brought to the table, on several occasions, it is in charge of mediating the process of insertion and adaptation in the city of the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and a way to talk about pain and loss without using words.

En este contexto específico de movilidad, se observó el cultivo y la cosecha de especias, la búsqueda de ingredientes en los mercados, la negociación de ingredientes, la preparación, distribución y, finalmente, el compartir la comida colectivamente como una forma de narrar y reubicarse en el mundo después de la experiencia traumática de la expulsión del país de origen. Se desarrolla así una discusión a partir de los conceptos de antropología de la alimentación, movilidades y desplazamientos y estudios de memoria, para comprender el poder comunicativo que tiene la comida; evocando sentimientos y recuerdos del país de origen, creando lazos transnacionales que van más allá de la reivindicación de una identidad nacional y produciendo hábitos que se transmiten de generación en generación. La investigación se desarrolló entre marzo de 2019 y diciembre de 2022, sin embargo, parte de la información a la que aquí hago referencia fue registrada previamente a través de mi experiencia como colombiana en Santa María y mi participación directa en estas redes de colombianos. A través de la investigación etnográfica, y del uso de la observación participante, entrevistas, convivencias presenciales y en redes sociales virtuales, se conocieron las comensalidades, sociabilidades y construcciones narrativas posibilitadas a través de la comida colombiana en Santa María. Se concluye que los espacios de comensalidad son eventos en los que se reproduce el cuerpo social, se recuerda al país de origen y se resignifican momentos pasados de escasez. La observación de la comida en el contexto de refugio mostró que mantener las prácticas alimentarias como en Colombia fue una estrategia de búsqueda de sentido en la vida cotidiana y una forma de recordar un país de origen en paz, es decir, cuando la comida es llevada a la mesa, en varias ocasiones, se encarga de mediar el proceso de inserción y adaptación en la ciudad del interior de Rio Grande do Sul, una forma de hablar sobre el dolor y la pérdida sin usar palabras.Esta tese apresenta uma discussão sobre o lugar da comida “colombiana” na construção de memórias entre e com famílias de refugiados colombianos reassentados na cidade de Santa Maria, no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Nesse contexto específico de mobilidade, observou-se o cultivo e colheita de temperos, a busca dos ingredientes nos mercados, a negociação deles, a preparação, distribuição e, por último, a partilha dos alimentos em coletividade como uma forma de se narrar e se recolocar no mundo pós a experiência traumática da expulsão do país de origem. Desenvolve-se assim uma discussão partindo dos conceitos da antropologia da alimentação, das mobilidades e deslocamentos e dos estudos sobre memória, para compreender o poder comunicativo que a comida tem; evocando sentimentos e memórias do país de origem, criando vínculos transnacionais que vão além da reivindicação de uma identidade nacional e produzindo hábitos que são transmitidos de geração para geração. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida entre março de 2019 e dezembro de 2022, no entanto, algumas das informações às quais me que refiro aqui, foram registradas anteriormente por meio da minha experiência como colombiana em Santa Maria e da minha participação direta nestas redes de colombianos. Por meio de pesquisa etnográfica, e o uso intensivo da observação participante, entrevistas, convívio presencial e nas redes sociais virtuais, conheceram-se as comensalidades, sociabilidades e construções narrativas possibilitadas por meio da comida colombiana em Santa Maria. Conclui-se que os espaços de comensalidade são eventos nos quais se reproduz o corpo social, rememora-se o país de origem e se ressignificam momentos passados de escassez. A observação da comida no contexto de refúgio apontou que manter as práticas alimentares “como na Colômbia” foi uma estratégia de busca de sentido no cotidiano e uma forma de lembrar de um país de origem em paz, isto é, quando os alimentos eram levados à mesa, em diversas ocasiões, eram os encarregados de mediar o processo de inserção na cidade do interior do Rio Grande do Sul, uma forma de também falar de dor e perda sem usar palavras.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciências SociaisUFSMBrasilSociologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessColombianosSanta MariaRefugiadosAlimentaçãoFamíliaColombiansRefugeesFoodFamilyAlimentaciónCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::SOCIOLOGIA“De colombia con amor”: a comida no processo de construção de memória coletiva das famílias de refugiados colombianos em Santa Maria, RS“From colombia with love”: food in the memories construction process of colombian refugees in Santa Maria, RS“De colombia con amor”: la comida en el processo de construcción de memorias de famílias de refugiados colombianos en Santa Maria, RSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisZanini, Maria Catarina Chitolinahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4222381114451307Menasche, RenataSiqueira, Monalisa Dias daSantos, Miriam de OliveiraAssis, Glaucia de Oliveirahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9276127711884300Erazo, Diana Patricia Bolaños7002000000096006006006006006006006b3456b5-36c7-45da-93ef-c230a709b378471ba18a-2be6-40b1-8a84-67993e49cb3ea27cf8e0-2bf8-4a8e-8335-e22b5ef3d18f0a567bd1-9610-446f-88d1-095d9d051c4f0f9ebe43-610e-4051-9645-20ed44ec3e66552c3f57-2a68-4f29-895b-68429823008ereponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMCC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
