Resumo: Due to the water deficit irrigation is important for the stability of the maize crop productivity. However, due to the costs involved, the analysis of the economic viability of irrigation is fundamental to justify its investment. Especially in corn hybrids due to their adaptation to different growing environments. Thus, this work aimed to analyse the production and economic viability of supplemental irrigation in different maize hybrids. The experiment was conducted in the city of Santiago/RS, in the crops of 2015/2016 (crop I) and 2016/2017 (crop II) in a randomized complete block design with five irrigation depths (0, 50, 75, 100 and 125% of ETc), four maize hybrids in the I crop and six hybrids in the II crop. The number of ears per plant, number of grains per ear, mass of 100 grains, grain yield and water use efficiency were evaluated. Through the hybrids production function and the costs related to and not related to fixed sprinkler irrigation for 1 ha area, the net revenue (RL) was obtained in the maximum efficiency irrigation depths (Wm), optimal (Wo) and equivalent (We) and in the treatment without irrigation, and the net present value (NPV), the internal rate of return (IRR) and the cost benefit (B/C) ratio. In addition, fixed sprinkler irrigation projects were developed for areas of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 ha and slopes of the 7 and 15% settling pipes, and the costs and the occurrence of economies of scale. There was a better distribution of rainfall in crop II than in crop I, so irrigation depths influenced, in the two harvests, the mass of 100 grains, productivity and water use efficiency, and the number of grains per spike in the I crop. different production functions and Wm among hybrids. In relation to RL, crop I was higher for all irrigated hybrids, with different values among hybrids. In the second crop, only one of the hybrids presented higher RL, in relation to the non-irrigated. The NPV, IRR and B / C were variable among the hybrids, the crops and the blades. In relation to the costs for the different areas, there was an increase, with the increase of the size of the area. Therefore, irrigation increases the productive performance of the hybrids, between 9.9 and 41% and the technical irrigation management can be performed between the depths of 90.6 and 105.4% of the ETc. Hybrids AG 9025, P 1630 and DKB 290 presented better agronomic performance, with yields between 16,281.3 and 13,609.1 kg ha-1. The RL, NPV, IRR and R / C indicate that irrigation utilization is economically viable for most hybrids. The economic management of irrigation can be performed using irrigation depths between 74.3 and 90.1% of the ETc to obtain the highest RL, being dependent on the hybrid. AG 9025 provided the highest RL of the hybrids (between R$ 2,805.51 and R$ 1,804.64 ha-1), and the increase in the size of the irrigated area provides diseconomies of scale.

Porém, devido aos custos envolvidos a análise da viabilidade econômica da irrigação é fundamental para justificar seu investimento. Sobre tudo em híbridos de milho devido sua adaptação aos diferentes ambientes de cultivo. Assim com este trabalho objetivou-se analisar a produção e a viabilidade econômica da irrigação suplementar em diferentes híbridos de milho. O experimento foi conduzido no município de Santiago/RS, nas safras de 2015/2016 (safra I) e 2016/2017 (safra II) em um delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso, com cinco lâminas de irrigação (0, 50, 75, 100 e 125% da ETc), quatro híbridos de milho na safra I e seis híbridos na safra II. Foram avaliados: número de espigas por planta, número de grãos por espiga, massa de 100 grãos, produtividade de grãos e eficiência no uso da água. Através da função de produção dos híbridos e os custos relacionados e não relacionados à irrigação por aspersão fixa para área de 1 ha, obteve-se a receita líquida (RL) nas lâminas de máxima eficiência técnica (Wm), ótima (Wo) e equivalente (We) e no tratamento sem irrigação e, o valor presente líquido (VPL), a taxa interna de retorno (TIR) e a relação benefício custo (B/C). Além disso desenvolveu-se projetos de irrigação por aspersão fixa para áreas de 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 e 25 ha e declividades da linha de recalque de 7 e 15%, e avaliou-se os custos e a ocorrência de economia de escala. Houve melhor distribuição das chuvas na safra II que na safra I, assim as lâminas de irrigação influenciaram, nas duas safras, a massa de 100 grãos, a produtividade e a eficiência no uso da água e, o número de grãos por espiga na safra I. Verificou-se diferentes funções de produção e Wm entre os híbridos. Em relação a RL, a safra I foi maior para todos os híbridos irrigados, com diferentes valores entre os híbridos. Na safra II, apenas um dos híbridos apresentou maior RL, em relação ao não irrigado. O VPL, TIR e B/C foram variáveis entre os híbridos, as safras e as lâminas. Em relação aos custos para as diferentes áreas, houve ampliação, com o aumento do tamanho da área. Portanto a irrigação aumenta o desempenho produtivo dos híbridos, entre 9,9 e 41% e o manejo técnico da irrigação pode ser realizado entre as lâminas de 90,6 e 105,4% da ETc. Os híbridos AG 9025, P 1630 e o DKB 290 apresentaram melhores desempenhos agronômicos, com produtividades entre 16.281,3 e 13.609,1 kg ha-1. A RL, VPL, TIR e R/C indicam que utilização da irrigação é economicamente viável para a maioria dos híbridos. O manejo econômico da irrigação pode ser realizado utilizando lâminas entre 74,3 e 90,1% da ETc para obter a maior RL, estando dependente do híbrido. O AG 9025 proporcionou a maior RL dos híbridos (entre R$ 2.805,51 R$ 1.804,64 ha-1), e, o aumento do tamanho da área irrigada proporciona deseconomias de escala.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia AgrícolaUFSMBrasilEngenharia AgrícolaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessReceita líquidaCustos de irrigaçãoManejo da irrigaçãoZea maysNet revenueIrrigation costsIrrigation managementCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ENGENHARIA AGRICOLAAnálise da viabilidade técnica e econômica da irrigação em híbridos de milhoAnalysis the technical and economic viability of irrigation in maize hybridsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisPeiter, Marcia Xavierhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4072803412132476Robaina, Adroaldo Diashttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8629241691140049Parizi, Ana Rita Costenarohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8175867178097138Girardi, Leonita Beatrizhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8898312307430408Weber, Liane de Souzahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2891799660226360Glasenapp, Sirleihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5608759444688749http://lattes.cnpq.br/4086573312407396Ben, Luis Humberto Bahú500300000008600aa9a3730-307d-44a2-8042-8c43bcf8e4b11b4a26ce-4883-429d-bfe6-b8d9c64f377cb3a282ad-3e3e-42b1-b88c-5bc23251b46277bb2b95-c655-4750-af6d-91e3876163a7497ea00a-3a27-4e30-9097-c6fca682cd855fad0a5d-5d18-4a29-84be-9054e51b42dd50607143-6931-45e3-93e7-78bf84e19e04reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGEA_2018_BEN_LUIS.pdfTES_PPGEA_2018_BEN_LUIS.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf936653http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/15166/1/TES_PPGEA_2018_BEN_LUIS.pdf9c1f199ad4601be0dd29996084eacc31MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
