Resumo: Objective: To d escri be , compare and correlate vocal self assessment s , musculoskeletal symptoms, and aerodyna mic and manovacuometry voice measurements of pregnant women. Methods: F ield, cross sectional, observational, prospective and quantitative study. After sample selection using inclusion and exclusion criteria, 49 pregnant women from the second and third gest ational trimesters, aged between 18 and 40 years, were evaluated using the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire and the Voice Related Quality of Life instrument ; respiratory muscle strength, Maximum Phonation Time of /a/, habitual , minimum and maximum sou nd pressure level were also evaluated. The data were analyzed by the R environment, using the T, Chi square, Wald, Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon tests. Results : Voice Related Quality of Life : average scores of the total score and of the socioemotional domain s ignificantly within the cutoff points; greater number of pregnant women significantly below expectations in the physical domain, which was also significantly lower than the other domains . Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire: most aspects investigated had a significant negative response The only ones with positive significance were presence of pain and tingling in the lower back . Pregnant women who presented complaints and musculoskeletal impairments also showed a significant decrease in the three Voice Re lated Quality of Life domains, mainly in the physical one . Regarding aerodynamic vocal measurements, the Maximum Phonation Time of /a/ and the maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressures were significantly below expectations. Habitual , minimum and maximum sound pressure levels were significantly higher than expected. The maximum sound pressure level showed a weak positive correlation with the maximum phonation time of /a/. There were moderate positive correlations between: minimum maximum sound pressure le vel and habitual sound pressure level ; maximum and minimum sound pressure level; and maximum expiratory pressure and maximum sound pressure level. A strong positive correlation occurred between maximum expiratory pressure and maximum inspiratory pressure. Conclusion : The pregnant women showed worsening of the ir Voice Related Q uality of Life regarding physical aspects and presence of pain and tingling in the lower back. Those who presented complaints and musculoskeletal impairments also showed a decrease i n the ir Voice Related Quality of Life , mainly in the physical domain. The pregnant women presented decreased maximum phonation time of /a/ decreased respiratory pressures and increased sound pressure levels. This suggests that pregnancy affects the respi ratory dynamics regarding support of phonation and respiratory strength, which may generate a possible vocal abuse with the increase in sound pressure levels without proper respiratory support

Métodos: Estudo de campo, transversal, observacional, prospectivo e quantitativo. Após seleção da amostra mediante critérios de inclusão e de exclusão, foram avaliadas 49 gestantes do segundo e terceiro trimestres gestacionais, com idades entre 18 e 40 anos, utilizando o Questionário Nórdico de Sintomas Osteo musculares e o instrumento Qualidade de Vida em Voz; também foram avaliados força muscular respiratória, Tempo Máximo de Fonação de /a/, nível de pressão sonora habitual, mínimo e máximo. Os dados foram analisados pelo ambiente R, utilizando os testes T, Q ui quadrado, Wald, Mann Whitney e Wilcoxon. Resultados: Qualidade de Vida em Voz: escores médios do escore total e do domínio socioemocional significativamente dentro dos pontos de corte; maior número de gestantes significativamente abaixo do esperado no domínio físico que também foi significativamente mais baixo do que os demais. Questionário Nórdico de Sintomas Osteomusculares: maioria dos aspectos investigados apresentou resposta negativa significativa, com significância positiva apenas para a presença de dor e formigamento na parte inferior das costas. As gestantes que apresentaram queixas e impedimentos osteomusculares também mostraram diminuição significativa nos três domínios de Qualidade de Vida em Voz, principalmente no domínio físico. Nas medidas v ocais aerodinâmicas, o Tempo Máximo de Fonação de /a/ e as pressões inspiratórias e expiratórias máximas ficaram significativamente abaixo do esperado. Os níveis de pressão sonora habitual, mínimo e máximo ficaram significativamente acima do esperado. O ní vel de pressão sonora máximo apresentou correlação positiva fraca com o tempo máximo de fonação de /a/. Houve correlações positivas moderadas entre: nível de pressão sonora mínimo e máximo com o habitual; nível de pressão sonora máximo com o mínimo; e pre ssão expiratória máxima com nível de pressão sonora máximo. A correlação positiva forte ocorreu entre pressão expiratória máxima e pressão inspiratória máxima. Conclusão: As gestantes apresentaram piora da qualidade de vida em voz relacionada aos aspectos físicos e presença de dor e formigamento na parte inferior das costas. Aquelas que apresentaram queixas e impedimentos osteomusculares também mostraram diminuição da Qualidade de Vida em Voz, principalmente no domínio físico. As gestantes apresentaram tempo máximo de fonação de /a/ e pressões respiratórias diminuídos e níveis de pressão sonora aumentados. Isto sugere que a dinâmica respiratória é afetada pela gestação com reflexo sobre a sustentação da fonação e a força respiratória, gerando um possível abuso vocal com o aumento dos níveis de pressão sonora sem suporte respiratório.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências da SaúdePrograma de Pós-Graduação em Distúrbios da Comunicação HumanaUFSMBrasilFonoaudiologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessFonoterapiaFisioterapiaGestantesQualidade de vidaSistema musculoesqueléticoRespiraçãoVozSpeech therapyPhysiotherapyPregnancyQuality of lifeMusculoskeletal systemRespirationVoiceCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FONOAUDIOLOGIAAspectos respiratórios e vocais e sintomas osteomusculares em gestantesRespiratory and vocal aspects and osteomuscular symptoms in pregnant womeninfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisCielo, Carla Aparecidahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8424979142095675Frigo, Letícia FernandezBeber, Bárbara CostaSoares, Márcia Keskehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5008646701022063Bresolin, Fernanda Anversa40070000000360060060060060072048afa-aa54-4737-a1a2-67ef1c0d96f338e5b67c-3d0f-43f9-8402-15c8ef746ef13957cada-4bc9-4909-a3b2-bf09d139de5522503ce9-5621-43bd-aac9-e987bc97f0b89155f7ee-0a99-406a-9e83-fdaa3b04a748reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGDCH_2021_BRESOLIN_FERNANDA.pdfDIS_PPGDCH_2021_BRESOLIN_FERNANDA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1711239http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22152/1/DIS_PPGDCH_2021_BRESOLIN_FERNANDA.pdf033c81091a5818b6c47ccf55b7dc8a69MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
