Resumo: The construction of this thesis considers the existence of a structure of complementarity of the tourism in the Cross-border Urban Complex of the triple frontier that separates Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Therefore, it is explained how Communication contributes to the development of tourism practices in these environments, based on a qualitative exploratory approach of multiple cases, given the rare records of communicational studies in Tourism in the region. The empirical object of the Triple Border of Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil), Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) recognized as a Transboundary Urban Complex (DILLA ALFONSO, 2015) is identified, a notion that conceives the agglomeration of capital goods and people with relationships of local individuals or located in communities in transnational interaction. Several approach perspectives of Tourism, such as Chias (2007); Gastal (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005); Petrocchi (2007); Wainberg (2000, 2003), are considered due to the fact that they ground the understanding of its communicational experiences. The cross-border condition is supported by authors who studied the Brazil-Argentina-Paraguay context, as Albuquerque (2010); Beliveau, Montenegro (2010); Lucena (2012); Rabossi (2010a, 2010b, 2011); Roseira (2006) and Silveira (2004, 2016). In order to develop the distinct notions necessary for this thesis, the Hermeneutics of Depth (THOMPSON, 1995, 2009) is chosen as the guiding method, aiming to: Conceptualize historical, geographic and tourist aspects of the three cities; Relate tourism trends and interfaces with communication in cross-border environments; To examine how the communication and tourist actions in Triple Border are configured through the institutional portals of the three cities and Identify/encode user/tourists comments about their experiences in the tourist attractions of the three cities. The CIDTUR methodological procedure (BARRETTO, 2011) is applied in the tourist institutional portals of the studied locations and aims to understand how they are structured. Understood as symbolic forms (THOMPSON, 1995), institutional tourist portals and user/tourists comments are analyzed and correlated with the concepts of Tourism and Frontier, searching for the recognition of probable scenarios and communicational actions. Institutional tourist portals become means with the possibility of ordering directions and, when confronted with the records of the Tripadvisor platform, it is noticed the establishment of a communicational network that evidences new dynamics within tourist practices, this one based on the production of content and in the relationship with the users. Its analysis in the context of the tourist potentialities in the Transboundary Urban Complex of Foz do Iguaçu, Puerto Iguazú and Ciudad del Este allowed, finally, to propose the concept of Tourist Communication Experiences.

Its analysis in the context of the tourist potentialities in the Transboundary Urban Complex of Foz do Iguaçu, Puerto Iguazú and Ciudad del Este allowed, finally, to propose the concept of Tourist Communication Experiences.A construção desta tese considera a existência de uma estrutura de intercomplementariedade do Turismo no Complexo Urbano Transfronteiriço das cidades entre a Tríplice Fronteira de Brasil, Argentina e Paraguai. Explana-se como a Comunicação contribui ao desenvolvimento de práticas turísticas nestes ambientes, baseada em uma abordagem qualitativa exploratória de casos múltiplos, dados os raros registros de estudos comunicacionais em Turismo na região. Identifica-se o objeto empírico da Tríplice Fronteira de Foz do Iguaçu (Brasil), Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) e Ciudad del Este (Paraguai) reconhecido como Complexo Urbano Transfronteiriço (DILLA ALFONSO, 2015), noção que concebe a aglomeração de capitais, bens e pessoas com relacionamentos de indivíduos locais ou localizados nas comunidades em interação transnacional. Diversas perspectivas de abordagem do Turismo, como: Chias (2007); Gastal (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005); Petrocchi (2007); Wainberg (2000, 2003), são consideradas devido a fundamentar o entendimento de suas experiências comunicacionais. Já a condição transfronteiriça, está amparada em autores que estudaram o contexto Brasil-Argentina-Paraguai, dentre eles, Albuquerque (2010); Beliveau e Montenegro (2010); Lucena (2012); Rabossi (2010a, 2010b, 2011); Roseira (2006) e Silveira (2004, 2016). Na busca por desenvolver as distintas noções necessárias para esta tese, elege-se a Hermenêutica de Profundidade (THOMPSON, 1995, 2009), como método norteador, objetivando: Conceituar aspectos históricos, geográficos e turísticos das três cidades; Relacionar tendências e interfaces do Turismo com a Comunicação em ambientes transfronteiriços; Examinar como se configuram as ações comunicacionais e turísticas em Tríplice Fronteira, através dos portais institucionais das três cidades e Identificar/codificar os comentários de usuários/turistas sobre suas experiências nos atrativos turísticos das três cidades. O procedimento metodológico da CIDTUR (BARRETTO, 2011) é aplicado nos portais institucionais turísticos das localidades estudadas e visa entender como estão estruturados. Compreendidos, como formas simbólicas (THOMPSON, 1995), portais institucionais turísticos e comentários dos usuários/turistas são analisados e correlacionados com os conceitos de Turismo e fronteira, em busca do reconhecimento de prováveis cenários e ações comunicacionais. Os portais institucionais turísticos tornam-se meios com possibilidades de ordenar sentidos e, quando confrontados com os registros da plataforma Tripadvisor, constata-se o estabelecimento de uma rede comunicacional que evidencia novas dinâmicas no interior de práticas turísticas, fundamentada na produção de conteúdo e no relacionamento com os usuários. Sua análise no contexto das potencialidades turísticas no Complexo Urbano Transfronteiriço de Foz do Iguaçu, Puerto Iguazú e Ciudad del Este permitiu, por fim, propor o conceito de Experiências Comunicacionais Turísticas.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em ComunicaçãoUFSMBrasilComunicaçãoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessComunicaçãoTurismoFronteiraTríplice fronteiraPortais institucionais turísticosCommunicationTourismFrontierTriple borderInstitutional touristic portalsCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAOOlhares possíveis: comunicação e turismo em complexos urbanos transfronteiriçosPossible looks: communication and tourism in cross-border urban complexesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisSilveira, Ada Cristina Machadohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0962895520743039Gastal, Susana de Araujohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0363951380330385Wainberg, Jacques Alkalaihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7853326207783649Ribeiro, Marcelohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6668223529036644Elesbão, Ivohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7384424503611071http://lattes.cnpq.br/6514983884818261Barretto, Ana Isaia600900000008600888fdbb8-2bde-40ac-b79e-24f0560e4b850fa227c3-c213-4b05-ab4b-37bb56c4904f495838e7-76ec-41d9-ba24-942cdf3dce99a44ee51a-ea81-4ddf-90da-b707e5b02e01b0bdacde-096e-4cd2-a7f5-a98da0fff2d207267080-9e39-4c03-88f4-885ed55ed1dbreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGCOMUNICACAO_2018_BARRETTO_ANA.pdfTES_PPGCOMUNICACAO_2018_BARRETTO_ANA.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf3518862http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/16575/1/TES_PPGCOMUNICACAO_2018_BARRETTO_ANA.pdff7114fa210f99fc49271bc8620b60b76MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
