Resumo: Today, we live in an essentially urban environment. In recent years, there has been an accelerated process of urbanization around the world, occurring in both developed and developing countries, currently accounting for 54% of the world's population living in cities. This significant increase in population has led to several discussions about the challenges of urban management in this cluster. The planning of the coming years reminds us to reflect on the concept of sustainable development for urban centers and issues such as increased pollution, urban mobility, quality of life, energy management and availability of green areas will be on the agenda. The high concentration of people also provides some benefits, since large cities are the natural economic center of a large number of companies which, when inserted in a context conducive to innovation, where there is abundant knowledge and skills, acquire greater Efficiency in innovation. Therefore, the challenge is to promote an adequate management of the resources available in these cities, in order to promote a favorable environment that supports the growth of these environments and the emergence of innovations, considering the aspects of sustainable development. The present work had as objective to analyze the importance of the sustainable practices of management of the urban environments for the generation of innovation in companies located in habitats of innovation. For that, a research of qualitative approach, of exploratory nature, was developed through a study of multiple cases. Data analysis was done through content analysis and data interpretation was performed based on theoretical assumptions, comparing empirical data with expected patterns. The subjects investigated were the managers of 5 (five) companies residing in 3 (three) technological parks: Santa Maria Tecnoparque, Parque Tecnológico da PUCRS - Tecnopuc and Parque Tecnológico da UFRJ. The results show that the axes that have stood out the most and which may have an impact on the businesses investigated and generate innovations, concern (1) Governance, (2) Equity, Social Justice and Culture of Peace, (3) Urban Planning and Design, (4) Education for Sustainability and Quality of Life, (5) Local Economy, Dynamic, Creative and Sustainable Economy, and (6) More Mobility, Less Traffic. Thus, the assumption in the study, sustainable management practices of urban environments favor the generation of innovation in companies located in innovative habitats, from the context analyzed, is partially confirmed according to the evidence found. The limitations of this study point out that the results found represent only the subjects investigated, it is not possible to make use of generalizations, the results found are based only on the perception of the managers and other stakeholders involved were not investigated and the method used that does not allow some questions understood. As a suggestion for future studies, it is suggested the extension of the subjects investigated to other urban centers and other business models and the application of other research strategies to verify the importance of sustainable urban environment management practices in the development of innovation habitats.

Nos últimos anos, tem-se presenciado um acelerado processo de urbanização ao redor do mundo, que ocorre tanto em países desenvolvidos, quanto em países em desenvolvimento, representando, nos dias atuais, 54% da população mundial vivendo nas cidades. Este aumento significativo da população tem provocado diversas discussões acerca dos desafios da gestão urbana neste aglomerado de pessoas. O planejamento dos próximos anos nos remete a refletirmos sobre o conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável para os centros urbanos e questões como o aumento da poluição, mobilidade urbana, qualidade de vida, gestão da energia e disponibilidade de áreas verdes estarão em pauta. A elevada concentração de pessoas proporciona, também, alguns benefícios, uma vez que as grandes cidades são o centro econômico natural de um elevado número de empresas que, quando inseridas em um contexto propício a inovação, em que há abundantes conhecimentos e competências, adquirem maior eficiência em inovar. Logo, o desafio consiste em promover uma adequada gestão dos recursos disponíveis nessas cidades, a fim de promover um ambiente propício que dê suporte ao crescimento desses ambientes e ao surgimento de inovações, considerando os aspectos do desenvolvimento sustentável. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a importância das práticas sustentáveis de gestão dos ambientes urbanos para a geração de inovação em empresas localizadas em habitats de inovação. Para isso, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, de natureza exploratória, através de um estudo de casos múltiplos. A análise dos dados deu-se por meio da análise de conteúdo e a interpretação dos dados foi realizada com base nos pressupostos teóricos, comparando os dados empíricos com padrões previstos. Os sujeitos investigados foram os gestores de 5 (cinco) empresas residentes em 3 (três) parques tecnológicos: Santa Maria Tecnoparque, Parque Tecnológico da PUCRS - Tecnopuc e Parque Tecnológico da UFRJ. Os resultados revelam que os eixos que mais se destacaram e que podem produzir impactos nos negócios investigados e gerar inovações, dizem respeito a (1) Governança, (2) Equidade, Justiça Social e Cultura da Paz, (3) Planejamento e Desenho Urbano, (4) Educação para a Sustentabilidade e Qualidade de Vida, (5) Economia Local, Dinâmica, Criativa e Sustentável e (6) Mais Mobilidade, Menos Tráfego. Com isso, o pressuposto verificado no estudo, as práticas sustentáveis de gestão dos ambientes urbanos favorecem a geração de inovação nas empresas localizadas em habitats de inovação, a partir do contexto analisado, é parcialmente confirmado de acordo com as evidências encontradas. As limitações deste estudo apontam que os resultados encontrados representam apenas os sujeitos investigados, não sendo possível fazer uso de generalizações, os resultados encontrados se baseiam apenas na percepção dos gestores e demais stakeholders envolvidos não foram investigados e o método utilizado que não permite que algumas questões sejam melhor esclarecidas e aprofundadas. Como sugestão para estudos futuros, sugere-se a ampliação dos sujeitos investigados para outros centros urbanos e em outros modelos de negócios e a aplicação de outras estratégias de pesquisa para verificar a importância das práticas de gestão do ambiente urbano sustentável no desenvolvimento de habitats de inovação.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AdministraçãoUFSMBrasilAdministraçãoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessHabitação urbanaSustentabilidadeAdministraçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAOHabitats de inovação em ambientes urbanos sustentáveisInnovation habitats in sustainable urban environmentsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisGomes, Clandia Maffinihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2010827580929023Bichueti, Roberto Schopronihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5060454514705901Patias, Tiago Zardinhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4374388776612390http://lattes.cnpq.br/8410605682180492Motke, Francies Diego600200000006600deb9a834-3ce3-4af1-9778-ef826d438041cece3479-68bc-464f-a70a-8bffea8c447cf1bb1dda-18dd-43f9-be71-373ab435eee2e765f8be-e6c5-44b1-890b-c801414c60e6reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2017_MOTKE_FRANCIES.pdfDIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2017_MOTKE_FRANCIES.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1163976http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/14387/1/DIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2017_MOTKE_FRANCIES.pdf24297e59ff1c59c08dbada50211201e5MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
