Valores organizacionais e pessoais e comportamentos ecológicos: uma investigação no contexto da gestão socioambiental

Resumo: New organizational architectures oriented in the search for sustainability require a new thinking on the organizational and personal values as well as the coherent behaviors in this cultural context. Thus, the current study aimed to investigate the organizational and personal values as well as the individual ecological behavior in a company included in this sustainability context. An exploratory and descriptive research was adopted by using a quantitative approach. By means of a survey with the employees, it was applied an instrument composed of three scales, the Inventory of Organizational Values, by Oliveira and Tamayo (2004), the Questionnaire of Value Profiles (QVP, in Portuguese), by Tamayo and Porto (2009) and the Scale of Ecological Behavior (ECE, in Portuguese), by Pato and Tamayo (2006). The predominant company and people s values were identified along with the ecological behaviors that they present. The results also pointed out that many behavior acts are not usual habits although they state that they are aware about this theme but do not act effectively on it. Among the main findings there are the relationships found in these organizational and personal values. Concerned to the relations between the ecological values and behavior only the personal values showed relations with these behaviors and they showed to be different from the initial presumed values.

Desse modo, o presente estudo teve como objetivo primordial investigar os valores organizacionais, os valores pessoais e os comportamentos ecológicos individuais em uma empresa inserida no contexto da sustentabilidade. Adotou-se a pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, utilizando-se uma abordagem quantitativa. Por meio de um survey com os colaboradores da organização, foi aplicado o instrumento composto por três escalas, o Inventário de Perfis de Valores Organizacionais, de Oliveira e Tamayo (2004), o Questionário de Perfis de Valores (QVP), de Tamayo e Porto (2009) e a Escala de Comportamento Ecológico (ECE), de Pato e Tamayo (2006). Foram identificados os perfis de valores predominantes da empresa bem como dos indivíduos, além dos comportamentos ecológicos que os mesmos apresentam. Os resultados apontaram, ainda, que muitos comportamentos não fazem parte da rotina dos indivíduos e que, embora estes declarem ter consciência sobre o tema, ainda não praticam muitos comportamentos e ações efetivas. Entre os principais achados, destacam-se as relações encontradas entre os valores organizacionais e pessoais.
