Resumo: This study investigated the acquisition of obstruent phonemes (stops and fricatives) in children with typical phonological development of two municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul with different dialectal influences. It was verified, thereby, the similarities and differences between the groups studied. The present study was based on speech data of two groups composed by 36 children in the municipality of Santa Maria and 36 in the municipality of Agudo, aged between 1:0 and 4:0, monolingual speakers of Brazilian Portuguese. The collection of linguistic production was performed by applying the instrument AFC Avaliação Fonológica da Criança (YAVAS, HERNANDORENA E LAMPRECHT, 1991), using beyond the figures, selected objects and toys based on this assessment instrument. The intervening variables considered in the production of obstruent phonemes were: age, sex, input type, metrical foot, number of syllables, preceding and following syllable context, position in the word, grammatical class, voicing and class of obstruent. Statistical analysis was performed using the computer package Varbrul, with a significance level of 5%. The results suggest no influence of dialectal variation in the course of phonological acquisition in the municipality of Agudo, which could occur due to the constant oscillation of voicing in the speech of adults living in this city. Thus, the characteristics of this process were very similar between the two profiles analyzed.

Verificou-se, dessa forma, as semelhanças e as diferenças existentes entre os grupos estudados. O presente estudo teve por base os dados de fala de dois grupos compostos por 36 crianças do município de Santa Maria e 36 do município de Agudo, com idades entre 1:0 e 4:0, falantes monolíngues do Português Brasileiro. A coleta da produção linguística foi realizada por meio da aplicação do instrumento AFC Avaliação Fonológica da Criança (YAVAS, HERNANDORENA E LAMPRECHT, 1991), utilizando, além das figuras, objetos e brinquedos selecionados com base nesse instrumento de avaliação. As variáveis intervenientes consideradas na produção dos fonemas obstruintes foram: idade, sexo, tipo de input, pé métrico, número de sílabas, contexto silábico precedente e seguinte, posição na palavra, classe gramatical, sonoridade e classe da obstruinte. A análise estatística foi realizada através do pacote computacional Varbrul, com nível de significância de 5%. Os resultados sugerem não haver influência da variação dialetal no percurso da aquisição fonológica no município de Agudo, o que poderia ocorrer em virtude da constante oscilação de sonoridade na fala de adultos residentes nesse município.
