Resumo: This work aims, through ethnographic analysis, to present the daily life of peasant women from the community of Rincão dos Alves, interior of the city of Jaguari, central region of Rio Grande do Sul and who are part of the collective “Grupo de Mulheres”. Jaguari was the aim of European immigration between the years 1888 to 1906, which means part of the population that resides there is formed by descendants of immigrants. The peasants of the community of Rincão dos Alves are descendants of German, Polish and Italian immigrants who nowadays call themselves colonists, thus forming an ethnic group that claims for themselves a different ethnic origin. In properties that have an average of 25 hectares of land, the main source of income for families in this community has been the tobacco production in the last 20 years. This dissertation aims to present the work dynamics of women in this environment, highlighting their arduous routine and daily lives. On one hand, It seeks to present how work is carried out in the so-called reproductive activities that occur around the domestic sphere. These activities are considered of female dominance and responsibility. On the other hand, it also focus on the active participation of these peasant women in the productive activities, in the case of cultivation of tobacco, marked by hard work. In both fields, the work done by women do not receive collective acknowledgment. In the general context of family farming, all members are dedicated to the productive sphere. However, due to patriarchal logic that tends to favor men, based on the idea of the father/boss/owner, they manage the property, the work itself, as well as the gains from them. Due to this logic, women are reserved the position of subordination that implies non-recognition of their functions, but still deprives them of the administration of the so-called family assets, thus undermining their autonomy. Therefore, the objective is to highlight the forms of agency of these peasant women, that is, the forms of resistance that they adopt in their daily lives, aiming at obtaining a gain that is, in fact, considered theirs. To this end, they commercialize products such as cheese, jams, eggs and other products that arise from activities that are considered to be in the female domain, but gradually tend to overcome the boundaries of strongly structured gender roles in the peasant world.

Jaguari foi alvo da imigração europeia entre os anos de 1888 a 1906, e isto faz com que parte da população que lá reside seja composta por descendentes de imigrantes. Os camponeses da comunidade de Rincão dos Alves são descendentes de imigrantes alemães, poloneses e italianos que na atualidade autodenominam-se como colonos, formando grupos étnicos que reivindicam para si origens étnicas diferenciadas. Em propriedades que possuem em média 25 hectares, a principal fonte de renda das famílias dessa comunidade, passou a ser, nos últimos 20 anos, a fumicultura. Esta dissertação visa apresentar a dinâmica de trabalho das mulheres, nesse meio, destacando a sua rotina e cotidiano. Por um lado, busca-se apresentar como se desenvolve o trabalho nas atividades ditas reprodutivas que abarcam o âmbito doméstico, as funções que envolvem o cuidado, assim como, as atividades que se dão no entorno do âmbito doméstico. Atividades estas que são consideradas de domínio e responsabilidade feminina. Por outro lado, busca-se destacar a participação ativa dessas camponesas junto às atividades produtivas, no caso da fumicultura, marcada pela penosidade do trabalho. Em ambas as esferas, o trabalho realizado pelas mulheres não possui o reconhecimento coletivo. No contexto genérico da agricultura familiar, todos os membros da família se dedicam ao âmbito produtivo. No entanto, devido à lógica patriarcalista que tende a privilegiar os homens, baseando-se na ideia do pai/patrão/proprietário, estes detêm a administração da propriedade, do trabalho em si, assim como dos ganhos que deles advém. Devido a essa lógica, às mulheres é reservada a posição de subalternidade que implica no não reconhecimento de suas funções, mas ainda, priva-lhes da administração dos bens ditos familiares, minando, desse modo, a sua autonomia. Assim sendo, tem-se como objetivo destacar as formas de agenciamento dessas camponesas, isto é, as formas de resistências que elas adotam em seu cotidiano, visando à obtenção de um ganho que seja de fato considerado delas. Para isto, observou-se que essas mulheres comercializam produtos como queijos, compotas, ovos, entre outros, que surgem das atividades que são consideradas de domínio feminino, mas tendem, aos poucos, transpor as delimitações dos papéis de gênero ainda fortemente estruturadas no mundo camponês.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciências SociaisUFSMBrasilSociologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessTrabalhoGêneroAgenciamentoWorkGenderAgencyCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::SOCIOLOGIA“O serviço que não aparece”: a divisão sexual do trabalho e as formas de agenciamento de mulheres camponesas em Jaguari-RS“O serviço que não aparece”: the sexual division of work and forms agency of peasant women in Jaguari-RSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisZanini, Maria Catarina Chitolinahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4222381114451307Marin, Joel Orlando BevilaquaSantos, Miriam de Oliveirahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3732747724539067Piecha, Renata7002000000096006006006006006b3456b5-36c7-45da-93ef-c230a709b378f69e4bb5-2e6e-4198-ad55-fc519d1d4c83314f7713-3330-48b2-a5dc-b61f9c06f40b88af3746-3730-4a49-bd5a-95c92b37ef74reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGCS_2020_PIECHA_RENATA.pdfDIS_PPGCS_2020_PIECHA_RENATA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf4171769http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22749/1/DIS_PPGCS_2020_PIECHA_RENATA.pdf38739c21685eee68106d124c25069154MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
