Resumo: | This study aimed to evaluate the quality of nursing care in Clinic 1, 2 and 3 of a university hospital in the Southern Region of Brazil. It was developed in two stages. In the first one was developed a methodological research to adapt the instrument called "Active Search Record". Participants were three nurses participating in a research group and active in the research institution. This stage happened in September 2017. The results of the evaluation of the instrument by the evaluators were tabulated and analyzed according to agreement in Excel spreadsheet and analyzed through the software Statistic Package for Social Sciences. The data were examined by means of descriptive statistics, calculating the frequencies and percentages of agreement among the evaluators. In the second stage a descriptive and quantitative cross-sectional study was carried out to evaluate the quality of nursing care through the reformulated instrument. Participants were 390 patients admitted to the Clinical Unit 1, Clinic 2 and Clinic 3 and were collected from September 11 to December 4, 2017. This research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the UFSM with CAAE nº: 69979417.4.0000.5346. The instrument used has 15 indicators of quality of basic nursing care in the prevention of adverse events. The information was tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet and analyzed using the Statistic Package for Social Sciences software. These were analyzed, descriptively, evaluating the proportion of each indicator in the different clinics. Subsequently, a chi-square test of association was performed to verify if there was a significant difference in proportions. In order to classify the quality of care, the percentage of adequacy (percentage of positivity) was used, which classified care as safe, desirable, adequate, borderline or insufficient. The results of the first stage reached 100% concordance percentages, in relation to all the requirements for the indicators 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 15. It was verified that the procedure with the lowest mean positivity was the indicator 8, with 75%. The other indicators presented satisfactory percentages of agreement. In the second stage, performed in Clinic 1, of the 15 indicators evaluated, none were described as Safe, and ten were characterized as Insufficient, were: indicator 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15. In Clinic 2, no indicator was described as Safe, and nine were characterized as Insufficient, were: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12 and 15. Clinic 3, nine indicators were considered Insufficient: 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14 and 15. Indicator 10 was the only one considered Safe, with 100% adequacy. The data presented show evidence that the instrument evaluated shows reliability to be applied in the studied units, assisting in the managerial practice of nurses. In the evaluated units, the performance in relation to the evaluated indicators was compromised, characterizing the need for investments in training, through attractive and stimulating ways, that propitiate the active search for knowledge and stimulate participation in the educational activities offered by the institution. |

Foi desenvolvida em duas etapas. Na primeira desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa metodológica para adaptar o instrumento denominado “Registro de Busca Ativa”. Os participantes envolvidos foram três enfermeiros participantes de um grupo de pesquisa e atuantes na instituição pesquisada, tal etapa aconteceu no mês de setembro 2017. Os resultados da avaliação do instrumento pelos avaliadores foram tabulados e analisados conforme concordância em planilha eletrônica Excel e analisados através do software Statistic Package for Social Sciences. Os dados foram examinados por meio de estatística descritiva, calculando-se as frequências e percentuais de concordância entre os avaliadores. Na segunda etapa foi realizado um estudo transversal descritivo e quantitativo, para avaliar a qualidade da assistência de enfermagem por meio do instrumento reformulado. Os participantes foram 390 pacientes internados na Unidade de Clínica 1, Clínica 2 e Clínica 3 e foram coletados no período de 11 de setembro à 4 de dezembro de 2017. Esta pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UFSM com CAAE nº: 69979417.4.0000.5346. O instrumento utilizado possui 15 indicadores de qualidade de cuidados básicos de enfermagem na prevenção de eventos adversos. As informações foram tabuladas em planilha eletrônica Excel e analisados através do software Statistic Package for Social Sciences. Estes foram analisados, descritivamente, avaliando a proporção de cada indicador nas diferentes clínicas. Posteriormente foi realizado teste qui-quadrado de associação para verificar se houve diferença significativa nas proporções. Para classificar a qualidade da assistência utilizou-se o percentual de adequação (percentual de positividade), que classifica a assistência em segura, desejável, adequada, limítrofe ou insuficiente. Os resultados da primeira etapa alcançaram percentuais de 100% de concordância, em relação a todos os requisitos para os indicadores 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13 e 15. Verifica-se que o procedimento com menor média de positividade foi o indicador 8, com 75%. Os demais indicadores apresentaram percentuais de concordância satisfatórios. Na segunda etapa, realizada na Clínica 1, dos 15 indicadores avaliados, nenhum foi descrito como Seguro, e dez foram caracterizados como Insuficientes, foram eles: o indicador 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14 e 15. Na Clínica 2, nenhum indicador foi descrito como Seguro, e nove foram caracterizados como Insuficientes, foram eles: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12 e 15. A Clínica 3, nove indicadores foram considerados Insuficientes: 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14 e 15. O indicador 10 foi o único considerado como Seguro, com adequação de 100%. Os dados apresentados demostram evidências de que o instrumento avaliado apresenta confiabilidade para ser aplicado nas unidades estudadas, auxiliando na prática gerencial do enfermeiro. Nas unidades avaliadas, o desempenho em relação aos indicadores avaliados se mostrou comprometido, caracterizando a necessidade de investimentos em capacitação, por meio de formas atraentes e estimulantes, que propiciem a busca ativa do conhecimento e que estimulem a participar das atividades educativas oferecidas pela instituição.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências da SaúdePrograma de Pós-Graduação em EnfermagemUFSMBrasilEnfermagemAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEnfermagemQualidade da assistência à saúdeCuidados de enfermagemGestão de qualidadeAvaliação de serviços de saúdeNursingQuality of health careNursing careQuality managementHealth services researchCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMAvaliação da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem em um hospital universitárioAssessment of quality of nursing care in a university hospitalinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisLima, Suzinara Beatriz Soares dehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6711164523602200Santos, José Luís Guedes doshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3536073293931659Weiller, Teresinha Heckhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0317942323754383Costa, Valdecir Zavarese dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9774929120349862http://lattes.cnpq.br/3259327367673605Dias, Caren Franciele Coelho4004000000006009ec774b8-8966-4092-aae8-380eaeddbedc9ea2e761-edc6-4b6a-8145-fd5d550fbb54c0c794ad-9d37-45d8-882a-903ead192ac8c1f6b99b-b8d0-4590-924f-12981982b2c793daab4b-27c0-4bf1-8ce1-83fb1ba39adereponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_DIAS_CAREN.pdfDIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_DIAS_CAREN.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf3775426http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/18737/1/DIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_DIAS_CAREN.pdffd52584655ac350619f2c25d4e8fdca4MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
