Resumo: | Issues related to the environment have been changing the way organizations are managed, influencing processes and bringing new perspectives and challenges. With this, companies, in general, are looking for ways to prosper in a competitive environment, adopting business models that have the purpose of developing a new society and that are capable of combining economic progress with the preservation of the environment, especially, promoting actions that integrate climate change, which are considered the greatest challenge of the century. Thus, this study aims to analyze the relationship between the business model oriented towards the management of climate change practices and the strategic posture in industries in the Brazilian chemical sector. The analysis of the business model will be carried out based on the studies by Boons and Lüdeke-Freund (2013) and Bocken et al. (2014). The management of climate change practices will be addressed under two dimensions, adaptation and mitigation, as proposed by IPCC (2014b) and Daddi et al. (2020). Finally, the strategic posture will be investigated from the assumptions of Schaltegger, Lüdeke-Freund and Hansen (2012). The characterization study of exploratory character and was developed from a study of semi-structured cases as chemical means for interviews of four industrial companies in the Brazilian chemical sector, participants of the Brazilian Association of Chemical Industries (Aqui). It was found the model of companies of projects more oriented towards the clients that modify its function of the current ones, in addition to future ones that its collaborators, suppliers and other interested parties in the development of a more sustainable project As the companies also took advantage of the resources, the promotion and political action in initiatives, energy efficiency, reuse and recycling, development and search for solutions for new product water and management of water resources. As four companies have a proactive strategy, showing that they are always in constant evolution seeking to minimize their impacts on the environment. From the results obtained, the pattern of change management that has been evidenced in companies is confirmed and has a model of association with the planned business posture. |

As four companies have a proactive strategy, showing that they are always in constant evolution seeking to minimize their impacts on the environment. From the results obtained, the pattern of change management that has been evidenced in companies is confirmed and has a model of association with the planned business posture.As questões relacionadas ao meio ambiente vêm mudando a forma de gestão das organizações, influenciando processos e trazendo novas perspectivas e desafios. Com isso, as empresas, de modo geral, estão procurando maneiras de prosperar em um ambiente competitivo, adotando modelos de negócios que tenham como propósito o desenvolvimento de uma nova sociedade e que sejam capazes de aliar o progresso econômico à preservação do meio ambiente, principalmente, promovendo ações que integrem as mudanças climáticas, as quais são consideradas o maior desafio do século. Dessa forma, o presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre o modelo de negócios orientado para a gestão de práticas das mudanças climáticas e a postura estratégica em indústrias do setor químico brasileiro. A análise do modelo de negócios foi realizada com base nos estudos de Boons e Lüdeke-Freund (2013) e Bocken et al. (2014). A gestão de práticas das mudanças climáticas foi abordada sob duas dimensões, adaptação e mitigação, conforme proposto por IPCC (2014b) e Daddi et al. (2020). Por fim, a postura estratégica foi investigada a partir dos pressupostos de Schaltegger, Lüdeke-Freund e Hansen (2012). O estudo caracteriza-se como qualitativo de caráter exploratório, e foi desenvolvido por meio de um estudo de múltiplos casos conduzidos a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores de quatro empresas industriais brasileiras do setor químico, participantes da Associação Brasileira de Indústrias Químicas (Abiquim). Constatou-se que as empresas estudadas vêm modificando seu modelo de negócio em função dos desafios atuais, além de envolver seus colaboradores, clientes, fornecedores e demais partes interessadas no desenvolvimento de ações em prol de um futuro mais sustentável. As empresas também demonstraram envolvimento político nas questões climáticas, práticas de mitigação relacionadas à eficiência energética, reutilização e reciclagem, desenvolvimento de novos produtos e processos, e práticas de adaptação envolvendo ações de conscientização sobre o uso da água, reaproveitamento e gestão de recursos hídricos. As quatro empresas analisadas possuem uma estratégia proativa, evidenciando que estão sempre em constante evolução buscando a minimização de seus impactos no meio ambiente. A partir dos resultados obtidos, confirma-se o pressuposto teórico de que o modelo de negócio orientado à gestão das mudanças climáticas vem sendo evidenciado nas empresas químicas e possui associação com a postura estratégica adotada.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AdministraçãoUFSMBrasilAdministraçãoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessModelo de negóciosMudanças climáticasEstratégiaBusiness modelClimate changesStrategyCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAOModelo de negócios orientado para a gestão de práticas das mudanças climáticas e sua associação com a postura estratégica empresarialBusiness model oriented for the management of climate change practices and its association with strategic business postureinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisGomes, Clandia Maffinihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2010827580929023Kneipp, Jordana MarquesBeuron, Thiago Antoniohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3235906002185569Vestena, Debora600200000006600600600600600deb9a834-3ce3-4af1-9778-ef826d43804170245dde-eac6-49a8-b464-fa99af7f0f14fc582224-dfd1-460b-862a-237b21a94a9023c182a0-4925-4254-80cc-93a124129552reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2021_VESTENA_DEBORA.pdfDIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2021_VESTENA_DEBORA.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf1274945http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/24579/1/DIS_PPGADMINISTRACAO_2021_VESTENA_DEBORA.pdf75fb4ca5ff86497471f84da19ff7cf39MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
