Resumo: The city of Santa Maria-RS has an architectural complex in Art Deco style, in the center of the city, heritage from a period of economic and cultural effervescence (1910-1950) and great social development. In order to reinforce the importance of this heritage for the community of the municipality and the region, a study is proposed to enhance the memory and its cultural heritage. The main objective is to contribute to the preservation of the Art Deco architectural cultural heritage in the city of Santa Maria-RS, using the precepts of Heritage Education through an audiovisual product and, in this way, enable the promotion of local cultural, tourist and economic development. The research methodology is qualitative, based on a literature review that presents the history and concepts of style in the world, in Latin America, in Brazilian cities and in the city that is the object of this study. For the design of the product resulting from this research, the concepts of audiovisual production were observed. Directed to the general public, it is proposed that this audiovisual can be broadcast in public and private schools, universities and on virtual platforms. Para reforzar la importancia de este patrimonio para la comunidad del municipio y región, se propone un estudio para valorar la memoria y de su patrimonio cultural. El objetivo principal es contribuir a la preservación del patrimonio cultural arquitectónico Art Déco en la ciudad de Santa Maria-RS, utilizando los preceptos de la Educación Patrimonial a través de un producto audiovisual y, de esta manera, possibilitar el fomento del desarrollo cultural, turístico y económico local. La metodología de la pesquisa es cualitativa, basada en una revisión bibliográfica que presenta conceptos y el histórico sobre el estilo en el mundo, en la America Latina, en las ciudades brasileñas y en la ciudad objeto de este estudio. Para la concepcción del produto resultante de esta pesquisa fueran observados los conceptos de la producción audiovisual. Dirigido al público en general, se propone que este audiovisual sea veiculado en escuelas públicas y privadas, universidades y en plataformas virtuales. No intuito de reforçar a importância desse patrimônio para a comunidade do município e da região, propõe-se um estudo para valorização da memória e do seu patrimônio cultural. O objetivo principal é contribuir para a preservação do patrimônio cultural arquitetônico Art Déco na cidade de Santa Maria-RS, utilizando os preceitos da Educação Patrimonial por meio de produto audiovisual e, desta forma, possibilitar o fomento do desenvolvimento cultural, turístico e econômico local.
