Foi realizada uma revis?o da literatura no Portal de Peri?dicos da Capes e observou-se principalmente o debate epistemol?gico e a abordagem te?rico-metodol?gica. As pesquisas exploradas mostram que n?o h? um n?mero expressivo de estudos sobre o tema exposto, o que justifica a realiza??o desta pesquisa. A partir dos aportes te?ricos verificados durante a revis?o da literatura, foi elaborado o referencial, explorando os seguintes estudos : percursos da leitura; desafios da leitura liter?ria; pol?ticas p?blicas e o incentivo ? leitura e mediadores da leitura nas bibliotecas. A pesquisa possui uma abordagem qualitativa, baseada em revis?o da literatura e an?lise documental. A primeira a??o de media??o do leitor liter?rio na Biblioteca Central foi o Cantinho da Leitura, vinculado ao projeto Ler Mais, sendo este o produto desta pesquisa. Os dados foram coletados dos relat?rios do sistema de gest?o de biblioteca Pergamum , sendo representados atrav?s de gr?ficos elaborados no Google docs e no programa Microsoft Excel 2010. Observa-se a relev?ncia dos resultados motivados pelo Projeto Ler Mais, principalmente as exposi??es de livros de literatura, que contribu?ram para que o usu?rio tivesse conhecimento do material que a Biblioteca possui e o incentivasse ? busca de outros livros, em especial o acervo liter?rio. Apesar do modesto crescimento do quantitativo de empr?stimos do acervo liter?rio, se comparado aos n?meros do acervo geral, os resultados da pesquisa apontam que ? poss?vel desenvolver estrat?gias de media??o da leitura liter?ria nas bibliotecas universit?rias, da? a import?ncia do Projeto Ler Mais para este estudo. As considera??es finais apontam que este trabalho abre caminhos para pesquisas futuras nas ?reas de media??o e incentivo ? leitura liter?ria, incluindo a digital, no ?mbito das bibliotecas universit?rias. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2020.This research aims to investigate the possibilities of the Central Library of the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM) to mediate literary reading among its users. A literature review was carried out on the Capes Periodical Portal and the epistemological debate and the theoretical-methodological approach were mainly observed. The research explored showed that there is not a significant number of studies on the exposed theme, which justifies this research execution. From the theoretical contributions verified during the literature review, the framework was elaborated, exploring the following studies: reading paths; challenges of literary reading; public policies and reading encouragement and reading mediators in libraries. The research has a qualitative, based on literature review and document analysis. The first mediation action by the literary reader at the Central Library was ? Cantinho da Leitura ? (Reading spot), linked to the Ler Mais (Read more) project, which is the product of this research. The data were collected from the reports of the Pergamum library management system, being represented through graphs prepared in Google docs and in the Microsoft Excel 2010 program. The relevance of the results motivated by the Ler Mais project was observed, primarily the exhibitions of literature books, which contributed to the reader to be aware of the material the Library has and encourage readers to search for other books, especially the literary collection. Despite the modest growth of the number of loans from the literary collection , the results of the research indicate that it is possible to develop strategies for mediating literary reading in university libraries, therefore the importance of the Read More Project for this research. Final considerations point out that this work opens paths for future research in the areas of mediation and encouragement of literary reading, including digital reading, within the scope of university libraries. We would like to highlight the Central Library's interest in continuing to carry out the Ler Mais project after the expected period of this research.
