The objective was to evaluate additional strategies in protocols of fixed-time artificial insemination (TAI), as the follicular dynamics and pregnancy rate. Four studies were conducted. In study 1 it was evaluated the effect of the administration of recombinant bovine somatotropin (rbST) at the time of application of the TAI protocol. At work 2 it was evaluated the effect of injectable administration of supplements of amino acids and polypeptides, since the day of birth until the time of application of the TAI protocol. At work 3 it was evaluated the influence of the administration of flunixin meglumine (FM) at the moment of maternal recognition of pregnancy over the pregnancy rate of heifers and cows, previously submitted to TAI protocols. At work 4 it was evaluated the efficiency of three different ovulation inducers: estradiol benzoate (EB), estradiol cypionate (EC) and gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) in TAI protocols. It wasn t verified in any study the marked influence between the treatments over the evaluated patterns on follicular dynamics and over the ovulation rate. In study 1 there was no interaction of the main effects, the administration of rbST and the cyclicity of cows for the pregnancy rate. The pregnancy rate in cows receiving rbST was lower for those who had anestrus, compared with cyclic cows (P <0.05). At work 2 the pregnancy rate was influenced by the previous administration of the amino acids and polypeptides supplements (P <0.05).The pregnancy rate was higher for the cyclic cows in relation to the anestrus ones (P <0.05).At work 3 the administration of the (FM) at the time of the maternal recognition of pregnancy did not alter the pregnancy rate in cows and heifers. At work 4 the administration of the different inductors of ovulation, EB, EC, and GnRH at TAI protocol in crossbred cows did not alter the pregnancy rate(P>0.05).
